The great thing about haikyuu is it's not just any other anime, it actually gets you to start playing volleyball, now not everyone will become pro who starts playing but the fact that haikyuu actually introduces this game and makes us curious enough to play it is simply amazing. Many new players will emerge and it makes me so happy as I play basketball and love learning about various sports, haikyuu is the best anime for me because it fulfills two of the things I like, sports and anime. I also started learning volleyball and would like to encourage everyone to try this great game called "Volleyball".

dont mind me. just a girl regretting not joining the team when the coach gave me a chance to try out back in 2015 but my social anxiety got to me and now that im a senior i just watch people living the dream and play volleyball with myelf with my slightly deflated volleyball.

Last week I got yelled at by my teammates because I didn't call out that the ball was out on our side, even though I was sitting off on the side and not on the court at the time. So the extra player sitting off has to call out if the ball is in or out like ref? In my 20 years of playing non-spiking recreational volleyball I've never heard of that rule. Or are my teammates just being bad sports? lol.

Nope. You can block a spike but not a serve.

Nah you need it but if you want to learn and watch something I recommend Haikyuu as it teaches you the basic of Volleyball and you won’t get bored but for the timing jumping and stuffs you need RU-vid,Google or a coach something like that

Always wanted to play volleyball ever since i was in middle school but the sport coaches always let the boys only to play it or even when they allowed us to play they never told us the rules or how to serve so it was obvious that girls weren't knowing how to play it and also most of my schoolmates were not interested to play and thats how i just gave upon it.. then i watched haikyuu and i am amazed how much of a super dynamic sport it is.. i still know i am not a cut for this game because i am only 5'4 and my stamina is just average but any volleyball player in here i just wanted to say you all are AWESOME !!!!!!

Haikyuu is a popular anime based around vollyball. The protaginist is a boy named Shoyo Hinata who is '5.5'. One day, as he rides his bike to school, he a boy play on vollyball on the television. The boy playing on the TV is considered short, but has a nickname, 'the tiny giant'. This inspired Hinata to play vollyball. Suprising everyone with his jumps and speed.

My friend is obsessed with Volleyball and can’t stop talking about it and it got annoying so I didn’t like volleyball. But when I started watching Haikyuu and became interested on how to play so I watched tutorials, Binged Haikyuu for the 2nd time and watched Volleyball games and took notes because if I asked my friend, I wouldn’t hear the end of it It’s been 2 years and she found out... long story short, she forced me to join the Volleyball Team even though I’ve never played a game...wish me luck
