Voltron review opening day Europa park 

Rumour has it they were trying out different wheel compounds across the trains to figure out what happened with the stall. Might explain why you had such differing rides! It’s good they’re doing this as I reckon in a month or 2 it’ll be an absolute monster!

“Terrible operations” is a phrase I never thought I’d hear anyone say about Europa Park. They should be ashamed of handling that opening day with such chaos. Very unlike them. The atmosphere though is amazing with all of the cheering and wolf whistling! People seemed to be loving it once it calmed down. Hope you enjoyed.

It looks REALLY incredible! Love the musical Tesla coils in the station! I saw another front row POV video and the ONLY thing that bothers me is the blank, poured concrete vestibule right after the station launch doors open. I mean, they went 95% of the way with everything else... they couldn’t have done that extra 5% and dressed that concrete reveal with black paint and projections? Strobe lights? Some other visual “BANG!” of sorts? Sorry, I know it’s easy to be a critic when I’m not the one designing it but overall-if they tighten up the wheels so it’s a smooth ride-I’d give it a “10.”

After riding on Voltron for 15 times in total so far, my conclusion is: Depending on the train and seat-position, Voltron was as rough as some Gerstlauer-coasters became after a couple of years in use, like Anubis The Ride in Plopsaland de Panne. I really hope Mack Rides will find the perfect configuration for a smooth ride on every train & seat soon.

Nice video! From what i've seen so far, great coaster chock-full of elements, amazing theming, but they have made to grave mistakes: 1) Badly organized opening, holding tons of people in areas and then suddenly letting them go all at once. 2) Running two? of the seven trains with some suspension parts still missing (or so i heard), leading to lots of vibrations on the outside seats. Now, mistake 1) they can't do anything about now, but i hope they learn from it for the future. And normal operations at Europa-Park are world-class. So let's just hope this won't happen again. About mistake 2), they probably don't realize this is ruining the ride experience for some people, and has influenced some of the reviews on RU-vid (TWP for example, as you said, sitting in front of you on your first ride), which will forever stay online. They should've kept the two not fully finished trains out of the rotation, longer queues or not. I mean, a train leaves the station every half a minute or so, a couple seconds more from two fewer trains wouldn't hurt. They'd still be pushing out trains faster than most parks out there, and the riders wouldn't have this good train / bad train lottery. Rumours are work on the two trains is underway, so this will probably resolve itself soon, but not the ideal first impression for some!
