I just love hearing Lewis and Simon lecture Duncan about hubris, completely unaware that Sips and Sjin just set off a red matter bomb.

The fact that the whole thing was unscripted makes this absolutely gold.

Lewis just said on the Jingle Jam that this episode almost didnt come out because Duncan was genuinely furious

I love how this turns into Sips and Sjin, the lowly mortals waiting on the sidelines while the gods of the world try to stop a blackhole they created from destroying everything.

When they hit the Redstone distance limit, that was God saying "I give you ONE chance" , instead fixes Redstone and sets off the red matter explosive

Forget Chernobyl, this is the most harrowing docu-drama of the past decade

I love when at 23:22 Lewis' reaction to the wormhole eating the world is to get torches. That is so typically Lewis since day one.

I remember watching this when it came out and crying with laughter, watching it now 8 years later still feeling the same way, one of the best Minecraft moments ever with quotes like: "We just wanted a bit of copper" and Lewis; "You get back and pretend like nothing happened" Sips: "yeah...okay"

Years later and it still cracks me up that Sips saw a bomb didn’t go off and ran straight at it. It’s like his gun jammed and he looked down the barrel.

15:30 Even back in 2013 Sip's uncanny ability to have perfect comedic timing was showing glimpses of his true potential

"Light it up Daddy i'm ready" Famous last words by Sips.

Now you can refeer to this as "the incident". - "Hey! What's a Red Matter Bomb?" - "We don't talk about Red Matter. Not since the incident." - "Uhm.. ok"

6 years later and I'm only now noticing that Duncan both blew up their base the worst, and shot their base with the missile...

I still come back and rewatch every few months. It really is hilarious because if they had just been calm and knew what was happening, they would have dispatched the original red matter bomb, shot a few rejuvenation missiles, and been done. They would have lost their items but otherwise been fine. Instead, Duncan destroyed their entire base AND THEN Duncan destroyed what was left by turning it all back into a mountain. Literally Duncan caused the majority of the fallout, but god was it hilarious

The best part about this for me was always the thought that, since they never really stopped it, just sent it flying into unloaded chunks, there was always a small possibility that someone would be exploring and come across it again, starting this whole crisis once more.

This is the episode that stayed cemented in my mind since the day it came out. I don't watch Yogscast anymore, not after I quit playing Minecraft in middle school, but this episode is such a giant piece of my childhood. Watching it again brings back so many great memories.

Thank you algorithm for bringing back these memories a decade later.

Sips predicted Sjin getting kicked out of the Yogscast huh. RIP to my favorite Yogscast member.

And the warrant for their arrest grew three sizes that day...

Today marks the 10 year anniversary of this masterpiece, I come back every year. Godspeed Yogscast, thanks for the memories.

This has to be the single funniest Minecraft related thing to ever happen. A perfect example of comedic storytelling, with an artfully-yet-unintentionally-composed exposition, climax, and conclusion. It remains absolutely hilarious 7 years after the fact.

My favorite episode of all time, the panic, the carnage, the fear and loathing, the destruction... magnificent!

I’m here watching this cause Ryan(Achievement Hunter) found a red matter and I saw the comments saying not to set that off, and another saying YOGSCAST series ended because of this, so I was curious to see what it does, and holy crap, now I hope the achievement hunters don’t set that off. If they do, then it’ll probably be the end of the other series.
