This is the untold story of my first ever solo travel trip. This video shows my time in Argentina in late 2015.
I arrived here after taking a flight from the UK via Madrid, to Buenos Aires, to Bariloche and then a bus to El Bolson. It was a 27 hour total journey and I was to start a month of volunteering at a community hub in the town.
But how did I get to this point? Well in this solo travel Vlog I detail the story of my first ever solo travel trip, and the first country I went to. I chose Argentina as I had been to South America before and wanted to see more, and being in the radio industry at the time, selected a workaway based on the community hub that also had a radio station.
I lived in a small cabin on the mountainside outside the town and was really thrown into the nomad life. I worked on music events and helping my host with cabin maintenance and learning English As well as exploring the beautiful Patagonia localities.
After my time here I had decided on another workaway, this time in the city of Santiago in Chile, so I had to get there! To Bariloche to see more amazing nature and then to Mendoza for my first real experience of backpacking, meeting random people and going on an adventure, a bike and wine tour in the Lujan region!
This journey was completely eye opening and what came next was even more unexpected. I did not have a return flight booked, so join this solo series to follow what happened next!
There was no Travel Bubble at the time, and my journey was documented via a diary blog called AdsVentures (adsventures1.bl...) here you can view the unedited, raw stories in full. You can also view the original iPhone 6 iMovie highlights reel for Argentina which cannot go onto the channel due to copyrighted songs being used.
I had no idea about what filming and making a video was really about, a collection of clips, photos and stories have formed this throwback solo series. Created to prequel Travel Bubble and to show other adventures from around the world.
This footage is a combination of photo and video from Argentina 2015. The video is cut from the above mentioned original video as I subsequently had my phone stolen and lots of the raw footage was lost. This video and these memories are the most personal project to date, and the trickiest story to tell. I hope you enjoy.
