HEY EVERYONE!!! It’s the end of July, be sure to subscribe because we will be uploading another truck video here in the next few weeks! If you wanna learn about air brakes and truck wheels ends, be on the lookout for the video!
Well I'm a new big rig mechanic and I've never worked on semi's or dump trucks before a month ago no schooling or training but have Excelled at it so far which I'm amazed myself but anyway come Monday morning I have to do this on a dump truck with an i-shift transmission and honestly this video has helped me tremendously and will probably watch it 900 times on Monday so thank you for posting this and the knowledge sir.
@@dandaadventures well I got it out in 6.5 hours so not bad but it had a pto pump attached due to it being a dump truck it whooped my ass hahaha holy shit
The oldtransmission would be a candidate for a rebuild. Just syncronisers and bearings Not a cheap excersise, and time, and availability of a shop that can do it and there lies the issue Same thing happens to eatons, syncronisers, theyre a wear part
There are several reasons you see splitter damage on an Ishift, most common is its caused by excessive play in the spigot bearing due to improper towing or lack of lube. You wouldn't have been able to fix that issue in your shop without specialty tools and access to repair specs. The battery cable and wiring not properly secured is a thing that irks me something fierce which can lead to huge headaches down the road. See that too much.
I have a Mac Anthem in the transmission is in the shop for the third time in a year they keep replacing the clutch actuator solenoid why does it keep going out?
@@dandaadventures THANKS for the video! I have a 2014 Volvo with the iShift transmission I'm using to demonstrate a new electronic propulsion system. I'm debating whether to use the iShift transmission or convert it to a regular manual transmission. The engine is completely GONE, we didn't need it! 🤔🤔💀💀💀
Every time I’m trying to take off I’m getting a sound truck not going anywhere an keeps jumping back an forward getting stuck in 5 gear then jumping in an out of gear
