Volvo's all new S60 R-Design is SPORTY, SWEDISH LUXURY! 

I have this car with Polestar and LOVE ITT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Excellent review with clear narration. A couple things I never see in Volvo reviews is interior ambience lighting at night and driving with the Polstar option. Also how voice command performs many of the screen functions so drivers can keep their eyes on the road.

This car looks 10x better than the BMW 3 series no doubt. But shockingly these dont sell in my area. The interior is light years ahead of BMW as well. The overall design is badass!

I feel obliged to mention at 11:08 when you say it has a backlight++ mode. Those are rear fog lights. they are very bright and specifically meant for foggy conditions, just like front foglights. in some countries it is illegal to use those without fog since they can and will blind the person behind you.

Volvo do make one of the best looking interiors in the business in their brand new line up. My only bug bare is the sat nav is a tad annoying to use. Also the seat massager is difficult to locate unless you already know. It is to the side of the seat and you toggle in there. Whereas the seat heat is located by touching on the screen. I do like the new Volvos tho.

i love this car

Used to be fan of Audi, exterior, interior was always step ahead of others but last couple of years Audi did not keep the pace. Volvo is the winner nowadays. As package design, safety, driving comfort, reliability. By the way watching this car in the night, its natural, unforced elegance.

ive always liked Volvo's R line & im the current owner of a 05 S60R AWD & a 96 850R. was not a fan of when the went to the R design to replace the orginal R line. Ifeel the Polestar is more inline with what the Orginal R line was. But i love the looks of the Exterior & that its made in South Carolina. Interior is a mixed bag love some aspects of it & hate other parts of it, just dosnt look all that sporty to me especially considering this is a R design.

Disappointing to hear about the transmission when using it in manual mode. Definitely something that should be far better but I did see when configuring the new S60 it has what's listed as a $1,295 accessory titled 'Polestar' in the options tab. In the description for it it mentions they optimized mid-range engine performance, gearshifts and throttle response. Wonder how much of a difference it would make. PS: I'm new here and am curious: what camera/lenses etc are being used in your videos? They look nice. 👍

Whoa is this a 2020 model? none of the 2019 rdesign models i've seen have rear ac vents in the console, only on the pillers and that slide down covering the power plug outlets

It would be great if reviewers would look at a base T5 which will be most of their sales. It's a very solid car. All reviews seem to be T6. My local dealer has 20 T5s and 3 T6s. And 1 T6-R . C'mon now.

Do you think they willl make a electric versions of the r design ?

does it handle as good as a bmw 3 series x drive?

Disappointed with the super charger.

As nice as it is, it would be silly or uninformed for someone to pick this over an Audi S4 for the same money. Volvo needs to either step their game up in the powertrain and drivetrain area or reevaluate their pricing strategy.

Nice review....far prefer the previous gen S 60 R Design however....these tail lights just don't cut it...previous model had cleaner front and rear fascia..and the old boomerang tail lights were KILLER !! However still, Alfa Romeo Giulia blows this away in looks and drive....

Their pricing is sooooo off.....$55k for an entry level luxury sedan...their competitors are selling cars for much less...smh

Obviously I'm biased but the S60 T6 R-Design is an amazingly sporty car. It may not blow the doors off it's class competitors but the premium luxury feel at this price point is hard to beat. An equally optioned (driver assistance tech, vehicle safety tech, and the Bowers & Wilkins audio system) BMW 3 series, Audi A4, or Mercedes C-Class will cost at least $10K more than this Volvo.
