I'll probably have to replace the weight sensor in the passenger seat because i've spilled out a drink on it and it's not working properly. Also: is the passenger seat having the same procedure or there is some difference in the process of removal? Thanks again!
We are trying to replace the safety belt holder from my volvo v40 D2 2013. The chair has to be removed first. But from then, do you think it will be easy? Would you perhaps have a video on that?
Hi @garageproductions359, thanks for your quick response. I am unable to remove the rear plastic covers from the seat. I try to do the same as you do with the screwdriver, but I can't see clearly on the film where exactly you are maneuvering with the screwdriver and your hands. Can you explain in words exactly how you managed to get the covers off? It might have something to do with the square embossings/palls on the plastic covers? Furthermore: do you think it is necessary to apply your first step in this movie; disconnecting the battery, to replace the left seat belt insert on the driver's side? Or will it be enough to simply not turn on the ignition? Furthermore: once the covers are removed and the screws are loose and the seat has been pushed back, do you think there will be enough space to change the seat belt insert with the Torx screwdriver? Or will the electrical cable under the seat really have to be disconnected? Many thanks in advance.
Currently I have no reach for car. It is plastic cover. As i remember it was holding with clips from both sides. Just little help with screwdriver and slide it to front.
