At first I thought the gashes in the side of the truck were part of the original design aesthetic, then when he cleaned it it sort of looked like the “holes” were done with a cutting tool on a Dremel?

All of these "restoration" videos are fake. They just artificially weather them, clean and repaint. Not really restoration in my opinion.

Like I bet this guy buys a bunch of toys off of eBay and has them just soaking in his garage in some nasty fucking shit and when it's time for a video he just pulls a toy out

Same you can also see the blade marks from what ever saw he used to cut the holes in the trailer. Being honest though the weathering doesn't look to bad. Could've done away with all the brush marks with using a small air gun.

He does it for fun and for entertainment. If you don’t like it then why do you keep watching it and commenting.

I was thinking the same! This model is botched. I've had never seen a related video on RU-vid with that less effort. It's a joke. All the masked areas are screwed up. Bleeding paint at every inch of the model. As a third-grader, I had more skills than him.

My modelling skills are much higher. But I don't need to show it on RU-vid. I don't have the time. I have a real job for my income. There's really good content here. But his videos are none of these. I'm not a hater, I'm just saying my opinion. And I feel messed up as a viewer in these videos. These are just fake, from start to finish. He faked these weathered models to produce content and make money. Why doesn't he play with open cards and also show the beginning of any of his videos? I should just ignore it. @@thelenny everybody is able to it. The paint job is more than just simple. Look at the lines of the masking tape. The paint is bleeding in at every inch of the model. You can barely see the scratches underneath the paint. I never saw a paint job by a modeler with this less effort. He put only one light source in the trailer that shines through the holes at the edges. This "restoration" is a joke. This model is botched.

this isnt a restoration lol. he made the first truck look dirty and such and then made it look like a new truck. a restoration would be taking it from a dirty truck and turning it back into just a model kit, as thats what its original condition was

It's not like he's actually destroying the models. I mean, basically he's painting them in grimey colors, cuts an easily fixable hole and then washes them and repaints them. If you want to be amazed at restorations, go watch Matchbox Garage, Marty's Matchbox Makeovers or baremetalHW.

Полностью согласен. Посмотрев начало так же подумал. Видно что модель специально приведена в такое состояние для того что бы отреставрировать. Нанесен эффект ржавчины, грязи и сверху закреплено лаком. В моделизме есть такая тема ,,винтажить,, модели, делать их якобы грязными, ржавыми, ломаными и т.д. В данном случаи это очевидно.
