No commentary longplay of Vomitoreum, getting all kills and secrets (one monster is out of bounds apparently)
Vomitoreum is the latest release from Scumhead and Mengo. This time around is a commercial release and the gameplay takes a metroidvania twist where you adquire new powers and equipment that allows access to new areas of the massive map. Good stuff, I liked it, but needs a bit of polish imho.

Vomitoreum es el último lanzamiento de Scumhead y Mengo. Esta vez se trata de un lanzamiento comercial y el gameplay toma formato de metroidvania, donde adquieres nuevos poderes y equipamiento que te permiten acceder a nuevas area del enorme mapa. Buen material, me ha gustado, pero necesita pulirse un poco en mi humilde opinion.

_"Hey this game is too short! WTF!"_ Keep in mid that this was my 3rd playthrough (5th for Demo content). A first playthrough should take you anywhere from 2h30m to 3h, and that's before 100%ing the game. PD2: The missing kill is apparently out of bounds PD3: 1440p and 4K modes still processing.

Thanks man, I had a huge problem figuring out where was I supposed to go in that godforsaken Metro before the Eve boss. Didn't finish the game yet, but definitely the most f up place in the game so far. EDIT: K just finished it. This surely was an interesting experience.

The game is well done, but it still seems a bit short and sometimes a bit empty for 10 dollars. Still I hope this game helps them develop more fleshed out games in the future, I can see the potential.

This one looks interesting, I see some references to Shrine, the only thing I have to point is that the flames looked too detailed for the game's overall graphic style, otheer than that it looks nice.

Disappointing. It is a FPS, similar Metroidvania-FPS' llike Powerslave have more than 5 weapons. Beyond S. Shotgun replacing shotgun 😢 .

i switched to 0.25 Speed to read the dialogues and never went back to 1.0 - quite an experience , even without weeds & shrooms :o)

@@pagb666 I've seen it. I was playing along with your video - just not to miss the items - but boss fights done myself. I usually prefer to take out the chargers first, yet I didn't know at that time about monsters' friendly fire mechanics. By the end of a fight you had them both at the brink of demise. Great plan.

Parece la venganza de un amante despechado y que lo único que su sufrimiento tiene de especial sobre el resto de la humanidad es que su enorme Ego le hace creer que ella es la única en el mundo que sufre en esa medida. -Sinceramente, el juego me encanta y la ambientación que han creado, pero esa parte que parece escrita para una novela amateur de adolescentes de instituto es una cagada.

As far s I can tell, it's adapted from Mozart, Requiem in D Minor, K 626 _Lacrimosa_ movement. The lyrics are, Lacrimosa, dies illa Qua resurget ex favilla Judicandus homo reus Huic ergo parce, Deus Piu Jesu Domine Dona eis requiem. Amen. It's in Latin, and a rough translation is, That lamentable day, On which shall rise again from the ashes, The guilty man to be judged Thus spare him, God Holy Lord Jesus, Grant them rest. Amen. Hope this helps. I have yet to get Vomitoreum, but i can't help but feel that the premise of the game is *a bit* too close to what we are dealing with in our actual world, heh.

Smh the art of that game looks both incredibly pretty and ugly at the same time. Enemies and sprites in general are cool-looking and well-designed but huge flat surfaces tiled with repeated textures make my eyes bleed.

I'm a KS backer for the game and it's upsetting to say that I think it's a complete waste of great art. The maps are meh. The weapons feel wrong both from infinite ammo and a balance point of the starter pistol just being outright better than anything else if you're willing to HAMMER the fire button. The game is a buggy mess and has LOTS of scripting errors that would take some "simple" SLADE edits but I'm extremely novice and shouldn't have to fix a game I paid for years ago. I wish someone better at actually MAKING a gzdoom game would be able to use the Authors excellent sprite work.
