I was told 26 years ago I here von willbrands disease with two factors missing 8 and H cant remember the other .How did you find out you have 2N type ? My health is not great and I continue to bruises. Many dont look like a normal bruise. My GP only says it states mild von willbrands disease but cant say the type J have. I think I will have to see a private blood doctor. Any information would be appreciated.

Hemophilia patients are overwhelmingly males. Bleeding is usually more severe. Most patients with hemophilia know that they have hemophilia (because the symptoms are so severe that they seek medical care). However, most patients with VWD probably have no idea (an example is a young lady with slightly heavy menstrual periods).

Hi sir, I believe you may have confused Ristocetin cofactor assay and Ristocetin-induced platelet aggregation, No? RCo will be abnormal in vWD, but it will be normal in Bernard soulier's. However, RIPA will be abnormal in both Bernard Soulier and vWD. Please let me know if you think I am mistaken.

I inherited Von Willebrand Disease factor viii. I went to hemophilia summer camps as a kid. UC Davis in California used to do timed bleeding on me as a kid. I still have the scars.
Two questions 🙋♀️, i have read tht patient with o blood group have low level of VWF comparing to other groups , would tht lead bleeding complications? …2 - does tht cause WFD ?
