Here's the thing, the VooPoo Argus GT2 mod is pretty bang on. I worry about the door sometimes, but honestly overall in my day to day use ( without whacking it with a piece of wood ) it feels quite secure. The hand feel is baller and the weight is kinda just right. In my opinion it's not quite as cool as the OG VooPoo Argus GT.
I'll pass on this MAAT tank if i'm being really truthful. The airflow isn't really my favorite, it gets a little sharp and sometimes choppy. Both the TPP-DM2 and TPP-DM3 coil heads rip pretty hard. The DM2 ( 0.2ohm ) does not need much wattage at all to really rip hard. Dig these coil heads the slurp I spoke about I believe as user error while I was filling it. It went away and never came back.

Awesome vape review I love how you use the product for a long time to get a full spectrum take on it and not just a “yeah this is a great mod I just hit it a few times and… yeah you should buy it!” Which personally I hate. Super in depth and realistic. Keep doing what you’re doing!

Actually I disagree, reason is that it doesn't have physical trigger lock switch that's found in many other mods so the fact u have to press it twice, you'll less likely to trigger fire in your pocket by accident. Two press of trigger is not that hard. Button pushers or chain vapours would barely notice the double tap.

I really respect your reviews, you're not afraid to voice your opinions. I like the legend 2, again, wattage lock, stealth mode, no wake up and I think it comes with a better tank in kit form. Nice Review, Thanks

Ah, sorry to disappoint but they took out the wattage lock in the L...II. I just bought 2 of them and was shocked to see that feature is no longer there. Both my L...I and my L...X have the lock feature but for some reason it's now gone! I just use the VPC mode and set them all to my desired wattage. I guess they feel the side lock covers all now days. Peace out.

for the battery door, i'm gonna say that's either a manufacturing defect on your specific unit or possibly your batteries. i've had mine fore a couple months using it daily, i drive for a living and it gets banged around my car and falls out on occasion. never once had the door pop open. i have, however, had my batteries break connection a few times. i'd guess my cells are slightly shorter than yours. as for the tank, i bought a second one thinking i'd keep different coils in each. then i experimented with a couple other tanks. my preferred tank is the uwell valyrian III. i wanted a higher capacity and was curious about higher wattages. i have the smok tfv18 but wasnt impressed with the coils. those burn out pretty fast and i had issues with them oversaturating with my preferred liquid.

Just got an Argus GT II as an upgrade for my (literally falling apart) Innokin Proton and the difference is amazing, flavour is fantastic off this thing and it's wonderful! Price on mine wasn't bad at all - I'm in Aus so it came to about $98, as of this writing that's only $68 USD for the full kit minus batteries and juice. Not a bad deal at all imo! Great review, very informative.

Oh no I have the same door issue with the Aegis L200 and I don't like it because the door will pop open when you set it down and walk away and then batteries everywhere and me pissed. So I was looking forward to the new Argus GT but I will just buy a second V1 instead because that baby is still working perfect. Thanks Nick GrimmGreen and BTW happy belated birthday and I got some stuff coming for you soon that will make you loose your Vaping mind! 😂

Not a bad looking mod but I think i still prefer the OG Argus GT. It's sooo smally, tiny, light, sexy, gorgeous, good looking and feels so good in the hands. Also cannot stand the wake me up shit. Thanks for showing us this one though, Nick!

Can the Argus GT or the V2 fire down to a .05 resistance like on the OG DRAG, OG Aegis Legend, or a DNA mod? Also I'm a bit skeptical about the 12 Volt output that they are claiming that this GT 2 can do.

@@nathanielmayo4950 Voopoo's quality of their mods have really gone to shit IMO compared the OG DRAG 157W and the DRAG 2 177W TC versions. Those were solid mods and my OG DRAG 157W and DRAG V2 177 are still accurate and kicking for 4 years now.

The MAAT Tank is honestly my favorite tank I’ve ever had (apart from airflow) and the flavor is wild on the tpp coils! 10/10 imo. Have yet to find a tank or coil that lasts and tastes so amazing. The mod started having paint peel after about two months and that’s just sad. My Geekvape multicolor has zero paint flakes. My Wismec 21700 also is basically bare metal at this point lol.

Got one of these mods last week and it has the "can't update firmware" problem so many of these seem to have. It works fine and it's not a dealbreaker - but people need to be aware of it.

I have the gt 2 and previously had the gt. I loved the original gt but the one big con was the battery door. I had never dropped my vape and one day I pulled it out of my pocket and it somehow snagged on my pocket and bent a bit of the metal on the side so the door when closed would move left and right and sometimes it would be loose and the batteries wouldn't be in properly and it was veryyyyy annoying. Definitely think the gt 2 is a great upgrade, more robust and the weight and feel gives it a real sense of quality. I love the TPP coils by voopoo, great flavour and great sound off of them but the only downside is they definitely feel like they don't have that longevity compared to other coils but still overall great flavour and cloud

Currently have, and use both. L200 is slightly better in every way imo. I have freemax m pro 2's on both. I use my gt2 for my at home vape and my l200 for at work

@GrimmGreen Resistance IS on the screen silly billy. Also I cannot for the life of me replicate your battery door opening with a hearty pound on the desk or drop from shoulder height. I am wondering if you didn't get it snapped in all the way? It has rubber around the bottom door and when the mod is newer you really have to give it a firm press to ensure it is closed. I agree the Gene chip is annoying when you have to do the double tap to wake and start vaping it. It's also a pain when you want to charge on the cable (maybe you are topping up in the car and it is your only mod or something) in that specific scenario (which is the only time I wouldn't use an external charger) you want to be able to use it while it charges because it is your only mod on you. Say you're at a music festival using a battery pack to charge it or on a long car ride using a car charger. Welp.. you aren't hitting that thing until it's done OR you are unplugging it every time you want to take a puff. VooPoo needs to FIX this already. People have been complaining about it forever. I think the double tap is a safety for your pocket... but you don't really need that when you have a lock switch on the front.

👍 Nice video. Acouple questions. Does it have Plastic or Metal buttons ? This vs Drag 4 ? + Why ? UForce L vs MAAT ? + Why ? I need to replace my Geekvape Aegis X + Cerberus, that's acting up a little, but, has been going strong, all day everyday, since I got it when it came out. Yes ! That long. One thing that wasn't covered is the wattage lock....if there is such a function on this one. My biggest peve with mods is when taking a puff but unknowingly it got bumped and now it's at like 175 or 200+! Burns out the coil and my taste buds. Does this Argus GT II have the ability to lock in the wattage settings?

Is the silver/gunmetal trim painted plastic like the original or actually metal? Mine looked very old very quickly because the silver paint just didn't age well at all.

I don't like tanks where the airflow is on the bottom. They have a tendency to leak when you least expect it. I also am not a fan of the batteries being loaded on the bottom. That latch will eventually wear out and your batteries will pop out. I just picked up the Voopoo Drag 4 and love it and the tank with the top air flow works for me. I am curious if anyone else feels the same way I do.

Also im gonna point that this MAAT tank has nothing to do with the original Maat tank which came with the alpha zip kit and took the MT Coils which were single double and triple mesh

I’ve had like three Argus gt 1 mods and they all eventually switch themselves off after firing. Anyone know if they have a fix for the older version or addressed this issue for the gt2 ?

All the VooPoo devices have to "wake up" before they will fire, not sure if that's what you're talking about

Mod would be great if you could lock the watts only. Top plate came umglued after three weeks. Why couldnt they have used screws instead of just glue? I love the way the gene chip hits.

The detailed and advanced menu doesnt exist, block coil ohm for example. Also the battery life is crap, compared to my wye200 that lasts one day easily, this one needs to be recharged at the end of the day if not you will run out.

I've been using the GTII for about 2 months now. Like you, that wake up button press, really annoys me. If I had known about it from the literature prior to purchasing it. I probably wouldn't have bought it. I don't care for the physical lock. It just isn't needed. A slight program change in the chip could enable an electronic lock. I also don't USUALLY charge my batteries in the mod. I only do it if I am away from home and have forgotten to swap batteries and they die. My problem with this is that, I can't just use any type C charging cable. They have undersized the port on the mod so that ANY other round type C cable is about 2MM thicker than the port will accept. So if I don't have the EXTREMELY too short cable included with the mod. I am S.O.L. Also like you, I am a fan of the GeekVape Aegis mods. I have owned the Legend and the Aegis X. I got the GTII to replace the Aegis X after about 2 years of use because it started failing to read battery voltage correctly. For the $60 price I paid. The Argus GTII is an ok value. Just some annoying quirks.

@@cocobutter3175 nope! I replaced the Argus GT2 with a Smok Rigel. The GT2 kept falling over and breaking the tank glass. 4 tanks in like 2 months... Very unstable. The Smok Rigel though is super stable, but kind of a PITA to get the batteries in and out of... Also, the requirement to double push the fire button on the GT2, to wake up the control chip, was too much for me...

In South Africa we have a language called "Afrikaans", and Maat means Friend or Mate. Afrikaans is derived from Dutch, and in Dutch it means Mate. So maybe they thought this tank will become your best friend, 😂😂😂
