Of my seven scoped rifles four are topped with Vortex. Viper, Viper PST, Sparc 2, Diamondback HP. These are "no foolin around" some of the toughest, clearest and most repeatable scopes I've ever used. And over my 50+ years there have been a bunch.
Vortex, let me tell you, you got me with the quality glass you sell but also, with that awesome warranty you have, now I hope I never have to use it, but from the feedback I've got from other people using vortex, they told me it doesn't get any better than this at this price point. Cheers guys! And btw, you should include a nice sticker on your scopes. That way we can show our pride of being a vortex owner and you guys advertise almost for free lol!
+Esteban Camacho Thanks for the kind words, Esteban! We really appreciate that and we really appreciate you choosing Vortex. If you would like a sticker, feel free to send me an email and I can get you taken care of. - Jimmy, jjordan@vortexoptics.com
Hi I've just ordered one of these new Vortex Scopes, the 3-12X42 HP dead hold model for my .22 rimfire. As I've never owned a Vortex scope before, I popped in to my local gun shop and compared the old model Diamondback, the 4-12X40 to a couple of Hawke Scopes and a Nikon. I was literally blown away by the clarity of the Diamondback compared to the other scopes I looked through. If this new HP model is as clear as the old one, I will be one happy bunny, that's for sure, John :)
Marc- Glad you liked the Diamondback! The HP is actually even clearer than the original Diamondback. They have been a great scope for us. Thanks for the support, and for giving us a look for your future builds. - Jimmy, jjordan@vortexoptics.com
The eye box design on the regular diamondback 2-7x35 is amazing. Hey guys at vortex if you came out with a diamondback hp 1 inch model with a glass etched illuminated mil dot reticle, exposed mil turrets that can be locked down so they dont move accidentally, a side parallax adjustment knob, with the eye box design of the regular diamondback 2-7x35. All with xd glass, armortek, argon, and a hydrophobic coating like raingaurd in like say a 2-10x40 or 42 with a low end fov of 64 like the 2-7x35 diamondback, and a 4-16x40 or 42 model or 4-20x40 a 5x zoom range with constant eyerelife through the range and all for around 500 dollars. I think you would take the ar world by storm as well as a lot of the newer style hunters and shooters out there, and also predator hunters. what do you think?
+midwestoutdoorsman - thanks for the input! We'll sure pass that on to our Product Development team! A lot of those features are more costly to produce all while maintaining optical quality, repeatability, and durability, so you do see a lot of those features in the Viper PST lineup, but at a higher cost. We're always looking for ways to make new products more affordable for our customers! -Reuben (raleckson@vortexoptics.com)
+Vortex Optics yeah that's true but I would be willing to pay more money if I could find a model with all those features because I think it's lacking in the market
Thanks for the respose Jimmy. I took the new diamondback out for a couple of hours the other day, and was soon getting some good groups with my .22 rimfire, due to the crystal clear image of the optics, and the overall quality of the scope. I was just wondering though, can you recommened a decent front eyepiece extension for the scope ( or does vortex make one) as I think that the supplied front Sunshade is a crcacking piece of kit and does it's job perfectly. I have tried the Bisley Scope Enchancer on the front eyebell of the scope, but I just cant get on with it. Atb, John. I'm sure this 30 year old boy, has the scopes all figured out. These types of presentations should be given by people who have been in the industry for 30+ years, instead of some that has been working for one company for 2 years. duhhhh
How do you know the script for this presentation wasn't written by someone with 30+ years of industry experience? All you can see is the person reading it mate
