Great playing and a pleasure to listen to. I have the amp, it really is as good as it sounds on here. (Especially with the tubes replaced with JJs)

I got the JJ tube version of this combo because of this video. Used the money saved on the sale price to put in a green back. I couldn't get your sounds with mine but that has more to my abilities but the speaker swap helped my enjoyment of my sounds

Regards of your phenomenal playing and use of the tools at hand, this amp sounds incredible. Probably the best demo ever done with this amplifier. Lots of great classic sounds, Brian May tones with the Les Paul, Joe Walsh tones with Strat, Beatles, Byrds and Tom Petty tones with the Rick....Im buying it!!!

I put a Scumback Paper Voice Coil low wattage speaker in this bad boy and swapped the tubes. It’s such a killer studio and bedroom amp.

I tried out the 'white' version 8 years ago with a J Mascis J master...it's the reason I got an AC10 and AC15...still want one for the practice room

I love this amp! Switched out tubes and put in a Celestion Blue speaker and it came to life!!

got her cheap so put in a blue and some mesa tubes...I know mesa rebranded tubes...but huge improvement...I think speaker did the job

what model/type number of the blue did you use?I can only find the Celestion Alnico blue at £225! Too much for me.

this sounds better than MARSHALL , however VOX AC10 sounds mucha betetr than this AC4-12 .. good luck =)

I finally ordered the AC4. Should be here later this week. I've never had a valve/tube amp. I have a Vox 20w modeling amp right now. Too many bells and whistles. I want something simple that takes pedals well. This should do the trick.

This is the sound of Rock n roll. This is MY AMP. I am a proud owner of it and I won't give it away .... Touch sensitive, you name it... When you need a Marshall sound, simply put a Joyo Hot Plexi (30 €) in front of it. Great video, thank you so very much...

Vox should add a digital reverb to this like they have on the AC10 and this will be the best seller they want, has everything except the reverb.

Why not true spring reverb? The little Vox Pathfinder 15R amps have a small two spring reverb and it sounds great for what it is. Heck the master volume is in the right place for a tone cut as well, lots of things they could have done, but only so much real estate and costs to keep in check

I'm stunned at how well the amp takes pedals up front. My analog delay almost sounded digital it was so clear. A reverb pedal up front will sound wonderfully.

@joesl8 I've been looking at reviews and it looks like Wampler makes one that's nice and the Boss RV6 seems to have the highest ratings that I've found.

I mean... Nice demo and thanks, but why did you bring the bass knob down and the treble knob up? This amp is quite trebly even at noon positions of bass and treble. I normally keep the treble knob at noon and the bass knob around 1oclock. 6:00 I think the amp shines on high volume.

I have this amp. Its great but you have to be very careful with the treble control or it gets very harsh. Lovely tones though and the preamp gain sounds good at low volume

Try plugging into a 4x12, and it will knock you flat! Even 4 watts of power can be too loud for apartment playing!

this is loud , then u can go for VOX AC4 TV which has an attenuator from 4 to 0.5 watts , some say that the AC4 TV is the best amp among these low-watt VOX amps.. good luck =)

I had the ac4tv and switched to this which to my ears sounds better in everyway. I'd say you'd be ok. Just as long as you only push the preamp and don't expect Poweramp distortion. Sounds great. Takes pedals well and has quite a good range of tones

My AC4c1-12 has less gain than this one. And a lot of headroom. More than I ever imagined. My Ac30cch has more gain. How come is this possible? Stock valve quality?

I believe that some of the AC4c1-12's come with a JJ EL84 power tube vs the standard EL 84 and the JJ has 25% less headroom... or something like.

If your playing with a rock drummer at a gig you will need a mic. I was told several times to turn mine down at open mics

Anyone else get OCD when they say everything at noon but none are really at noon but just that tad bit off? nice video, love my Superminibeetle, but this would be my next choice if I needed another amp for sure!

Based on another video, to me it sounded like the AC4 was nicer than the AC4C1. Even if the former has a 10" speaker. I'm honestly confused.

The 10” speaker is a nicer speaker. Only reason to get the 12” version is to swap out the speaker for an original early 1960s Jensen. Otherwise just use the 10” version like a head into your favorite 16 ohm speaker cabinet

Idk, he may have been born in the 80s. Regardless you don’t have to be a certain age to know music lol. I mean U2 and Joshua Tree especially is pretty famous and they’re still an active band. And if you play guitar, odds are, you’ve studied music and are familiar with stuff that came out before your time. Lol like do you have to have been alive in the 60s to know who the Beatles and Jimi Hendrix are?
