When Gillmore says "You almost lost me", that's a callback to the scene in campaign. They had a time deciding between just searching for Shawn, and looting around the destroyed Gillmore's Glorious Goods. They actually came pretty dang close to unknowingly (unintentionally!) letting him die.
The design and animation when Thordak destroys the palace just absolutely blows my mind. I love that scene so much! Rip Lance Reddick, you will always be the Cinder King.
The fact that he didn't make it to the bubble because he stopped to help a guard 😢 Uriel was a good one, failed a lot of charisma saving rolls, but still a good one
If I remember right Voragul is Liam. I think they said something about him doing the sample they were going to send out and then they just had him do it instead of getting someone else.
You guys are great my favorite part is when Zack knows something coming and he looks at Nicole for her reaction “ sorry if i spelled y’all’s names wrong “ i hope the critter community shows up here
As i understand it was bittersweet for him. Because it was this amazing story twist that he was able to completely blindside the players with, but he was also completely destroying an entire world that he had spent years making.
Whoo Hoo! Season two! Great Reaction. Best opening season episode so far. You can tell right away that this season won't be holding back any punches. No one is safe. Nichole definitely doesn't let the clues slip by. This season will keep you guessing. What originally impressed me: these dragons are on another level of power and destruction. You should watch the campaign cut for dragon attack. All the players were complete in shock about what was happening. Matt gleefully destroyed Emon to show the players what the stakes were going to be going forward. Yes! Vorugal is voice by Liam.
YESSS I'm so happy you guys are diving into S2 so fast, this season was even better than S1 for me and I can't wait to see Nicole's reaction to later episodes!
they really didn't hold back, just as Matt didn't when he dropped the Conclave on Vox Machina in game. I was so excited when I heard Cree Summer as the "mysterious voice" back in S1E2 that spoke to Keyleth, knowing she'd kill it as Raishan.
Vorugal is Liam O'Brien, you nailed the others. Tiamat is a good guess: she has 5 heads, one for each colour of dragon. The Chroma Comclave is 5 dragons, one of each colour.
I kinda wanna sneak a peek into the planning meetings of the Chroma Conclave. Wich one of them was pushing for making it 5, one of each colour, just for "the symbolism". Wich one of them was THAT extra?
Yes I'm so hyped for this season! Great reaction! Yes liam voiced the dragon. Fun fact in the D&D game I play in we use tiamat's AC as a level if an enemy is bad news or not.
@@FandomFuse Don’t worry about it. I can’t watch the livestreams because of my timezone, not everyone can for various. Plus, your video will still be there when the live is done x
The "19 misses?" Grog moment. So much stress, even more when you realize they didn't know if Allura was in one of the toppled towers during the original stream.
I love the certain point when Zack went oh OH. Then looked at the audience like we know. Then proceeded to grab a drink anytime you wanted to block your reaction from she who reads your face.
I was at work too when watching this, customers coming in would occasionally hear me sat "What?! No!" Or "Oh god this is so stressful" Also, I disagree, Grog would play the triangle.
WE'RE HERE! :D So hyped. 12:28: Look, closing the gate bought them like an entire *round * of time, it attacked the gate, not them. Not much help, but not nothing. Liam has such a chameleon voice, I didn't remember it was him as Vorugal either the first time I watched, he's hard to recognize sometimes! I can usually catch most of them when they appear in other voice roles (hard not to when you've listened to 1000+ hours of campaign, I bet most critters start to get good at recognizing them all, lol) but I still find Liam tricky when he alters his voice. What a way to open a season, right? Watching this happen in campaign was WILD. Hey, you know that big, safe, "home base" city we spent 5 years of campaign (2 un-streamed) getting to know? Well, it's a crater now. Also, 2/3 of the population just died, and all of your most reliable sources of magic items, quest givers, supplies, and downtime activities are gone. Have fun with THAT going forwards. Oh, your keep? The "save point" where you can regroup and breathe for a moment? Where the DM surely won't drop an ancient white dragon? You're gonna go there? Psyc! That's gone too. Welcome to level 14! *jazz hands *
