I must to admit now that this mix for my "musical standards" it's ludicrously long and repetitive. Without any doubt i prefer the original 7 min long version over this one. But, I must to aprecciate the amount of views and love to my mix. Thank you and long life to Disco!
The 5 best disco songs ever are This song, Then Romeo and Juliet by Alec Constandinas. Then Love in C minor by Cerrone. Then Try me try me ,try me by Donna summer. Then Heaven must be missing an Angel by Tavaras.
I've only recently discovered this, among thousands of other disco classics, and for someone who grew up with house music, I consider this to be some of the most beautiful, uplifting dance music ever made. I'm blown away by the sheer class and silky-smooth production of these records from way back in the 1970s - in an era when synthesizers and drum machines were a brand new phenomenon and most dance music was created organically; with drummers, guitarists, orchestras etc. The end product was a phenomenal wall of sound that was still heavily infused with the funk and soul of its predecessors. It appears that 1977 was the year in which electronic dance music was born when tracks like this and Donna Summer's "I Feel Love" broke through from the clubs into the mainstream. Many say that 1979 was the death of disco but that's only true in so far that it was the end of an era in pop culture. The music carried on well into the 1980s as hi-NRG and post-disco (aka boogie or electro-funk) and had evolved into house music by the end of the decade. In the words of Gloria Gaynor, "disco didn't die, it changed its name to protect the innocent."
I wish I was you, and just setting out in my voyage (haha) of disco discovery. There’s so much to find, that after 45 years of searching I still discover new things every week. The sheer amount of music produced in the 70’s is simply staggering. Disco never died, and never will.
I taught aerobics classes in West LA in the late 70s and through the 80s. I lugged a bag filled with LPs from club to club. The 2 Voyage albums and the orange album "Tantra" were my "Go-to" music. Wonderful times. Sometimes I'd have 100 people in my class. I was in my early 30s and extremely fit. What great times!
Nice, nice, nice. How good were those days in the 70s!!! I was just getting into college. No worries, just happiness, lots of learning at school and lots of partying.
The very best disco music in 1977 , and also that song is called I am the man , and the African queen , great music in those years , fantastic that is clasi music.

La calidad de esta música no tiene comparación con la música de hoy en día. Hay que solo poner atención en la cantidad de arreglos musicales y cambios que se sobrevienen uno tras otro, una belleza. Maravilloso!

This is the best version of "From East To West" that I have ever heard in all these decades! I would love to see you do the same thing with several legendary real disco songs!
Don't doubt your instincts. You extended the very best parts of this music and by doing so extended the magic of this music for everyone who loves it. This piece of music is very unique in it's genre and almost speaks to you in it's composition. The positive response and love for your mix confirms that you did it justice. Very good job!!
Gente brasileira tem muito en comun com musica disco, porque som um pobo feliz y positivo y no pierden tempo en ficarse deprimidos. Tu amigo boliviano!! (Um gran admirador de gente brasileira)
Right song but not the right leave I'm trying to find the full album version where this part that you just played rose into the drums and it goes onto goes to another section faster version looking for is actually longer it makes more sense for me because I used to dance to this it's a long dancehall it's great for exercise but it's really great for members so if you have that part with the rims on it thank you
Interview so you like music you should hear the whole side and I wish you'd stop cutting it off there because I keep asking for the extend for the whole side then you understand why was made that way suzzallo help fixes phone
1977 I was 13 years old. What a wonderful time to be. So young and full of life. How many years have gone by. we don't even know where. The time has gone to. So fast and we all getting. Older and older. Just think like me and with. This song we be young at heart ❤ 💙 💜 💖 💗 💘 ❤. Always... Peace ✌ ☮ 🕊 🏳 out my friends...!
Very underrated souvenir from Voyage. So disco danceable. Happy music with several hooks. Great synth and xylo. Good orch backing. Good for line dancing and free form. Some aerobics too. Nice side bar echo voices, like Silver Convention. Tuff guitars. Punky horns. Repeat trance mantra type patterns in music. Good riff layers. Lots of cute hooks here. Great effort. Power buildup into space. Thanks, Voyage. Dance on. Vive les disco freaks...
A Moog Synthesizer was rented/brought into our 7th grade music class for a day, but the teacher didn't know how to work it, so we just heard some tones. I didn't know what it was, YET. FF>>>I became a professional nightclub DJ💙
I worked in the theatre in the 70s and used to go to the London clubs virtually every night and still have this on an LP which is kept very safe as it seems quite difficult to get the original version these days . When i damaged my back I had to attend physiotherapy and the therapist asked if anyone had some energiser music we could exercise to .. This was a firm favourite with both the physio and others who were doing the exercises...
I remember reading the UK top 30 in the newspaper every Wednesday and seeing this song. It wasn't until the internet that I actually heard it and it was well worth it!
This is a fab sensual tune that should be played out at 70s do's I remember this about 1977ish or am I wrong about a certain year? Only old enough for school disco though! Couldn't wait to go to a proper one, my cousin took me into town a couple of times! Naughty me was slightly underage! Early 80s. You had to be 18 or 21 or 25 in certain venues. Cool stuff though!
I was there, saturday night, dancing this song.... the Disco Era! 1977, 1978... amazing years in Brazil and around The world. Many beautiful girls and dreams. Regards from Brazil.
