Is it just me, or is Voyager the show where they had most fun on set? Wonderful to see that in real life they are parents with a passion. And how cute is Ms. Chakotey Jr.?
Beltran's comments on Native Americans is pretty spot on, so many people don't realise Native Americans are far more that the nonsense you see in 'cowboy and indian' films. Native Americans were found all over the continent before the Europeans arrived, from Brazil to Canada, it's pretty naive to expect a Native American to only mean someone native to the land that is currently the USA.
Loved it when they were doing impersonations. I was in stitches when they were talking about Garrett and his laugh as well as his lopsided walk. ROFLOL!!!! OH MY GOD!
17:58 I totally agree. Voyager is by far the best Star Trek Series overall and represents the whole tradition and hopeful spirit of the starfleet& federation. THX for uploading
Thank you so much for posting this, so we can "be there too". Thank you. Thank you. :-) I love these people. Robert Beltran with dark hair . Last year with grey hair. What a difference.
It's a shame they never interview Jennifer Anne Lien. She was a character very loved by fans and still is. She was a wonderful person. I fell in love with her. Please interview her.
Thanks for sharing these! I couldn't be there myself so it's great to experience it. I've now watched them all, just great, but the Voyager panel is a definite favourite. Had me in stitches watching these guys :) "CapTAAIINNN! 75 million ships approOACHIIIINGGG!!!!" Whoopie Goldberg was a definite standout too. Thanks again.
Wow. .........Got really funny when they were doing Garret impressions. .........One of personal favourite moments from Voyager which had me creasing with laughter. (Had to pause and rewind many times.) When the doctor had made a daydream program, for him to be an Emergency Command Hologram. The crew went along with it due to the story, and at one point the doctor engaged it. Something like, "Computer, activate Emergency Command Hologram." ...Harry Kim was watching and camera cut to him saying, "This is my favourite part"; (about the dramatic transformation.)
What a great panel! Thanks a mill for sharing these, really enjoying them these last few days as ST reaches the Big 5-0. You did a great job recording them.
I agree with what Robert said about the Videans. I thought one of the best episodes was the one where the Videans are chasing some and they go into some mysterious clouds which causes them to have an exact Duplicate. Last we heard from what's his name from Seinfeld of The Thnk TAnk episode that they had given a Cure of the Phase to the Videans
Heather, have you listen to any of Tim's albums? I went to amazon and was blown away! he's ok on live youtube videos but his studio work is kick butt, Just wanted to share what i found.
Definitely love/hate, his character didn't get the arc it deserved and he got stuck squarely in stereotypical Native American territory, but he also gets paid to attend the conventions so I'm sure that's a big reason he does.
Margaret Nahmias to him tech babble sci fi is not real acting. Put hey it's a pay check, so it must have been hard, but fuck he played the part so well... I'm watching voyager now! He's great in it.
Can't blame Picardo for all the episodes blurring together a bit, but he cites "an alien that looked exactly like Bozo The Clown" as being from "Someone to Watch Over Me" . . when it's indeed "The Swarm | Ssn 3 Ep 4". The "he's a very sick man" scene, in fact. I'm no anal fan, mind you . . . I just happened to watch the ep and remembered the convention-quote. Wanna see if you agree . . with Bozo ?: i.imgur.com/i8ztfbJ.jpg
I think it would have been better if people were asked to keep their questions brief and no two part questions. It's unfair to the other questioners and not as interesting for the audience. And some of the questions took ages to answer. Still, these guys are a hoot. Just that given the limited time window, it would have been nice to get more questions answered from more people. Give each person about a minute to ask their question and be answered then move on.
I was so hoping for a panel that included both Robert Beltran and Kate Mulgrew. It´s fun to see them all together. Not even any photos with all of them, right?
+Иван Кирилов unfortunately that still seems to be the case. or Kate's schedule was really so full she could not make it. just give me Kate and Robert alone on a panel and I'd be happy 😃
So, what's up with the separation of the cast? No Janeway? A feminism segment with Janeway, but not with her home crew? Was it scheduling? Sorry for the questions, just really confused, and a bit sit. This seemed very strangely organized.
That "UK and NY actor" impression from Beltran was hillarious. YEA WHUDADOINHERE? YU GODDA GOH! Ooow btw, which episode would that be. I binged-watched VOY recently, but I can't remember which epsiode :
Bought a Voyager magazine last year, with an interview with the guy who played Neelix! When Jeri Ryan was added to the cast, it really got into a mess, as the network brought Jeri in to "sex" up the show! They were also talking about getting rid of some of the cast, as Kim was talked about as being killed off, Neelix was another one that could also have gotten the boot! Kate Mulgrew was upset about it, as the show became a "seven-of-nine" show, as well as the fact that some of the crew were going to get killed off! I really found the show became lamer after the borg chick came on, it just seemed to drag on, as some of the episodes were re-hashed too many times!
