BBM answered in english because the question is english, if he was ask in tagalog the answer is in tagalog, common traits of Filipino kids raised from 50's to 90's. Abunda is only giving allowance to candidate Robredo who falls short on that field. And it's an open knowledge to Filipino's of Robredo's difficulty on explaining her thoughts sharply even when using the Filipino language, Tagalog. Robredo habitually repeats group of words and words as her way to stress a point or to make the conversation longer. Bitting around the bush, redundancies and multiple thoughts insertion that in the end leaves the question unanswered. Communication tops obviously from her weak points!

BBM on the other hand might have opened up some good points but his stand is redundant and not versatile enough to create PLAN B-Z if worst case comes. What I hated with BBM's platform is his agreement with the idea to legalize ABORTION during his interview with Boy Abunda. If you really watched his interview, you will get disappointed with his UNCHRISTIAN viewpoints concerning morality. The translator actually did a good job. If you understand the Filipino language, the translator did a better job explaining and getting to the point of her answers than the interviewee. All of these are just talks, but people really need to see who owns these conglomerates behind the businesses they say are polluting the country. You'll be more than surprised to know they are LB's financiers. Filipinos really need to wake up. A rosy tomorrow is just a facade, like a fairytale which is not the reality. Her comments about the lack of skills of seafarers/seamen or the need for the government to provide a program to train or upskill them goes to show her lack of knowledge. I know for a fact that there are schools/organisations that already provide these. There's the National Maritime Polytechnic in Tacloban where my brother-in-law used to teach seamen officers. He did a stint of working in a ship as an officer before resigning for personal reasons and pursued a teaching post afterwards. He completed either his masters or PHD (can't remember which for sure) degree in Malmo, Sweden back in 1999 or 2000 courtesy of the Phil government. There are other bodies like this in the Philippines that offer trainings. Of course they are not free to the attendees unless they are either a scholar or sent by their companies. Robredo tries to come across as knowledgeable and have the pulse or feel of the ground but fails. She's just full of hot air balloon and just the mouth piece of her puppet masters.
Also, as opposed to you Ovelo, I did not see her as an academic when she answered. Like I previously commented, she always answers from a first person point of view. In academic discourse, you always use the third person point of view so you can sort of express that your answers are facts and evidence-based and not merely your opinions.

Attacking the other candidates particularly BBM and displaying bitterness in many occasions may be one of the reasons why in the last survey Leni's net satisfaction rating was so low, if I am not mistaken it was positive 1. If in the next survey it will become negative it will surely hurt her candidacy. By the way, in all surveys conducted by different survey firms, BBM got more or less 60% voter preference, the remaining more or less 40% was shared by the other presidential candidates.

Thank you for making an unbiased review on this. I hope those who were supporting Leni see this objectively and realize why she's absolutely not a good fit to be the next president. And you are not wrong, Ovela, she is mostly self-centered in her answers. She always sees to it that she is always the star in her stories. Her answers to the questions lack sincerity and just focused on how to please the people, what people want to hear. She doesn't leave an impact to her audience. Most of her answers were unrelatable and couldn't be deciphered by ordinary people, too wordy, lack deep sense. That's why people call her "Lutang" or in English floating or shallow, couldn't establish deep connection with the people and even with herself. Watch her campaign ad where she did hadouken, she looked stupid and shameful. She can make a good puppet president who will do just anything she is told.
