It’s in this video for VPX - virtual pinball X. For pinup popper, you have to go into the settings menu to map your buttons. Just make sure quit game and exit emulator aren’t on the same button.
@@JohnPauls do you know by chance what buttons the regular At Games Pinball uses to move left and right? I was trying to program the ➕ on the regular board but don’t know how each one would be setup. Thanks again John
Another Great Tutorial, John Paul! I was expecting it would make a difference but had no idea! Much more responsive! Do you still have the stock ALP playfield monitor? If so, I was wondering if you have any recommended PC video settings to improve OTG image quality. Again, thank you for such a helpful video, I greatly appreciate it!
Hey Scott, thank you!!! Greatly appreciate the feedback. Any input lag you can eliminate will always help. Yes, still running the stock monitor and believe I may have covered that in a previous video but I will double check and post one if not. You are most welcome! Thank you again for watching!
Buttons, the physical nudge- using the accelerometer is not accurate and with stronger haptics installed, it will create false readings/nudges. I disabled physical nudging.
No effectively, I disconnected mine as it causes erroneous readings, nudges and tilts when not wanted. It causes even more havoc in FX3. I programmed the buttons to be my nudge’s.
@@JohnPauls John, followed this step by step along with you. When I exit out of the controller set up only the trackball works. In FX3 under options the keyboard shows up. Any idea what I'm missing?
@@grouper3059 most likely a setting in FX3. Try resetting the controller config and try again. The tilt motion sensor on the ALP can affect setting up the mapping, be aware of that.
How do you map the Directional Pad, for the Legends Pinball without the game controls / buttons ? I see in windows usb controller settings it's detected as 'hat' control, but no provision for mapping this in either popper config nor in VP itself.
@@JohnPauls do you know by chance if the settings will be as easy with just the standard board that it ships with as well? Thanks for the awesome videos by the way
Yes, as long as you follow my guide and get visibility on which buttons correspond with what the PC is seeing, you can map the direction pad on the stock control panel. Just limits you on buttons available to map.
