Thank you google for taking what I believe to be one of the most important steps in the future of human expression and experience. And most importantly while keeping it transparent and open for anyone to contribute and join the project, if google truly continues to represent this values I'm sure they will become more than a brand or company; but rather immortalized as a foundation step of humanity.

All-in-one headsets are wonderful, but lacking built-in, detachable headphones is a MAJOR oversight. Hopefully these devices will either come with built-in headphones, or have them available as aftermarket purchases.

Now the problem is that the headset weighs around 200g... I have a headset for my nexus 6p and it's heavy as f.... you can use the HTC vive and oculus for hours comfortably but using a mobile headset? after 5 mins it starts to hurt...

Do you think Google and developers would use Seurat 24/7 for all future apps? Why not, if the there is no compromise and incredible performance gains to be had.

I like the you can use standalone VR headsets as mobile phone without taking it off.

Replaying this video after 7 months, I am really sad how many things are off their original plan. Tango get killed after about half year; hTC abandoned Daydream on standalone HMD and preferred its own Viveport storefront and Vivewave SDK; Lenovo Mirage Solo still coming, but not until Q2 2018. The Google I/O 2018 will be held less than half year, hope we have better luck this time…

anyone know an "AR" headset that's nothing more than a convenient way to hold a phone in front of my eyes for, say, an hour or two? Daydream looks so comfortable but its only for VR - my phone's camera can't see the real world

I want ar enabled glasses and fight in the street of AR world

Wow stores and driving and walking to find items , would be the best when everyone,,,,,,,,,,, turns on tracking and clicks i found item wow so helpful. Ar Vr mobile should share data across all devices say like with a small ball with sensors that can be carried tucked away set in home for all gamers or even set on-top a car or clip to any phone people would love a know it all ball. Plus with a standalone Ar Vr headset paying for mobile internet already connecting a wire temp only to download new stuff would be great others dont always like to pay twice for wifi or bonding internet again,Perfect then google can make big money selling self driving cars as well even better.
