What a time to be alive! This is some of the most exciting things I've seen in a long time. I'm going to save up for a Vive and get into this, you've really inspired me!
this was a very cool video i was talking to a friend yesterday about 3D modeling in vr and how one could then take it as a file from there and put it into something like blender to do final smoothing and modeling, and today, without even searching anything similar this video was recommended to me. im glad to see the concept is already being used.
amazing video...love the rust effect!! I use 3ds max alot because I do animation...one time I simulated a demolished brick wall with physics, froze the simulation once it came to rest and printed out the result!! talk about freezing it in time!!
Make Anything // 3D Printing Channel not the friendliest solution for parametric modeling if you want to iterate prints quickly, but it offers so much regardless.
Awesome video! I'd love to see more like this in the future. I appreciated you going into the print process and stuff a bit, but my favorite part was just watching you sculpt.
just got a quest 2 yesterday (20 april 2021) and gravity sketch was the first app i tried - because its free.. flipping amazing.. was very surprised to see this video is 4 1/2 years old.. especially liked the hand sculpt
WOW! I know this is quite old, but I REALLY enjoyed this episode - I do think it is incredible that you can so easily (you make it seem so) create something in Virtual Reality and literally have it appear in real life. This is sci-fi stuff! Imagine how someone from 30-50 or more years ago would react to such an incredible method of bringing your thoughts to life! More like this please!!
wow I just discovered you and this was a super cool video. the program gravity sketch seems so awesome! The skull was really awesome too and reminds me of Pan from Pans Labyrinth kinda. (p.s. 10/10 would bang)
You can speed up the rusting process by simply soak it with salt water and place it somewhere exposed to sunlight and near some more stable metal like copper(bare metal without any coating).
I LOVED the 3D block designs! They look like they're some sort of crystal! I'll watch some other videos and I'll see if I'll subscribe! Keep the good job man!
i love your videos. I recently subscribed and have been watching on the daily. they really inspire me to think differently about my artwork and create new and unique pieces. keep it up mah man!
You are extremely artistic and are extremely lucky you have a VR! And a 3D printer?! Your Chanel is also very interesting I love 3D printing things my friend has a 3D printer and it is so cool it takes a while but is so mesmerizing
It's nice to see some good quality content that's filled with comments about how enjoyable the video was. There is hope against toy channels and those rather disturbing spiderman vs. Pregnant Elsa vids and shit. yay
These apps need something like a gravity "plop" feature wherein you can grab a finished model, choose a plane to drop it straight down from and have the program flatten the bottom most layer on that plane of the selected model. This could eliminate the need to wastefully cut off several layers of a design just to print from a flat surface. There could be all kinds of iterations of that feature designed to produce a printable base with minimal loss of overall model design.
Nice video, love the shapes, it looks really similar to a crystal of sodium or potassium chlorides. It should be nice that you try to "copper" the iron pieze in a copper sulfate solution, that would be awesome :D
Going to give you a heads up, bro. I'm 90% certain I subscribed to you about a month ago, and just found out today (2 January) that I'm not. So I think RU-vid is screwing around with subscribers again. Just something to stay aware of (unless you've talked about it before and I missed it because again RU-vid . . .)
