Well it comes down to what's your level of motion sickness. Take me for example I don't get motion sickness so I don't feel nauseated after playing VR and I've played for hours. So if you easily get motion sickness it was easily take several years to get your worths out of that VR set
Honestly, I only felt sick for a few minutes then I got pretty used to it. It’ll definitely give you headaches if you play for hours, but it’s so worth it… Absolutely changes the game
There thing is, you ears have a feedback respond to what angle you are relative to the directtion of the gravity, but you only receive visual stimulation in most of the VR game and that what makes you feel dizzy.
its because the brain ends up confused your eyes see a whole bunch of shit moving about but the Endolymphatic system says your more or less still its the inverse of when you spin around to much and come to a stop and you feel dizzy the liquid in the Endolymphatic system is still spinning about but you eyes are saying your still.
One of the funniest segments of flying in VR War Thunder was when I was doing RB Air in the Il-28. Firing the defensive machine gun in first person for that plane is very cool. The gunner sits in a sort of box at the back of the plane with good visibility to the sides and rear. The autocannon you control is extremely powerful and maneuverable. :D
Совет, как прокачать свой аппарат: Перед игрой выпейте воды, когда станет плохо снимайте шлем, выпейте воды, и через некоторое время продолжайте. С каждым разом должно быть лучше и лучше
In this episode: Dae reaches a new combat form as Monsoon! Loses their head! And Toss their cookies! But did you know? In the backround of the montage, you can see Maus trying to dox Daeborn's new secure location! She's onto you Dae... *RUN.*
Reminds me of the first time I tried using the AoA limiter in Project Wingman. It allows you to do stuff like J-Turns, or even instantly flip your plane 180 degrees. Hoo boy. It was rough at first, but now I love using the AoA limiter.
I remember when my VR worked I used to torture myself and my friends by playing a bit of a cooperative game, where one person sat in VR while the other controlled the plane/tank from the keyboard. When I needed the camera for the dogfight it was hell for me and when I had nothing to do but spin it was hell for them. We had fun. :)
Don’t worry Daebom! VR sickness works the same way as sea sickness does, you either eventually get used to it and it stops happening or a thing that really helps is pointing a fan at yourself because the wind fools your body into thinking it’s moving too and then the sickness doesn’t happen. The sickness happens because your eyes are movement but your body says “wait I am not moving” but the wind makes body think it’s moving lt helps many people who get VR sick.
Wash away the anger (wash away) Here i stand beneath the warm and soothing rain The droplets gently falling down on the terrain Wash away the sorrow all the stains of time Theres no memory its only dry inside (In the mud its sinking deeper) And live a peaceful life And it will come! Like a flood of pain Pouring down on me And it will not let up until the end is here And it will come To the darkest day In the final hour And it will not rest up until the clouds are clear Until it finds my dreams have disappeared (epic solo)
Yeah the VR gives you headaches or Nauseating, One day as a memory, My primary school has offered people to join a VR event, I was one of them, i put on the vr, i was controlling a spaceship and also steering it in poorly directions and also shooting meteors with lasers, the vr experience still caused me to get a massive headache but not vomit.
It takes some time to 'build' "VR-legs". I recommend starting off with games where you can walk. After some time your brain should get used to this kind of locomotion and flying won't make it go dissy. At least it worked for me.
I handled warthunder vr and VTOL vr no problem. Only time I ever had any issues is when I tried climbing in forgotten realms. Something about the climbing made my body freak out.
I feel you. Flying straight and slight turns is cool but the moment you play a Sim Battle and you have to go vertical the fun begins. Not to mention what happens if you overdo it and enter a spin.
@@k1lder346 yes you can, i havent tried in a long time i remember it was pretty buggy back then. You essentially just sit on top of the commanders cupola which is pretty cool.
@@SagaEf Just look up the function of the cochlea in relation to balance. Then extrapolate the relative lack of movement while using a VR headset compared to, say, a particularly winding or undulating road or roller coaster. There isn't any actual G-load when using a VR headset, so an inner-ear issue that might not pop up in those circumstances could very well be a problem with higher delta-V. Note that this is literally the first thing that came to mind when I read their comment, so I very well could be wrong, but from my understanding of balance that's what it seems like.
Been playing vr for years now and fly in IL2 sturmovik, DCS, and War Thunder. Only War Thunder has ever given me a head ache or made me nearly throw up for some reason.
Looks like, and sounds like a Pleasant and Fun Experience! But seriously speaking... This shows no matter, be it in PC or VR, our Dear Comrade Daebom is an Ace of Aces, at the Cause of Headache inducing and nauseating, which is to be expected from VR, a platform that makes you Experience games, and whatever happens in it, in your POV, literally... This is Proof of That... Cant wait what kind of Crazy Shit your gonna Make and Concoct with VRThunder now! Keep up the Damn Fine and Amazing Work Daebom! Keep the Good Shit Flying, and Rolling, my Friend!
And this is why you *slowly* work up the VR ladder with experiences, including also taking breaks, drinking water and heard also chewing on cinnamon might help. Then again, I am the one that did "impact therapy" and started with Boneworks, but hey, it worked, I never get motion sick!
Given you’ve got VR, May I suggest the F6F-5N Hellcat? In sim, it’s radar should help a bunch with locating stuff (which it used well as a night fighter) and has devastating firepower to boot.
that ending totally got me off guard LOL, but that's normal, same happened to me, after a while you most likely won't feel sick that often or maybe at all
A trick with VR flight and driving games is to put a fan in front of you to blow air over your face. It tricks your brain into thinking you are actually moving.
First time playing vr usually activates the thing that makes people motion sick...and have to poop, but eventually you build up a resistance to it and you wont get sick or nausous as much
VR nausea is extremely common for people new to the medium. It usually wears off after a few days of consistent play, though some experiences cause much more of it than others.
daebom I had vr sickness the first time using it as well so here some tips! 1: play sitting down when ur first starting off 2:drink lots of water while ur playing 3: (also the most important) play vr in very short burst like 5-10 mins a day and get off the second u feel sick. because than ur slowly build up tolerance to it. I use to not be able to play vr or move around at all in it for the first week or so but over a year later and I can play for upwards of 3 hours ^^
