Wonderfull video!! I have just repair a A06B-6058-H334 with your indications!! Thank you very much. I had to install a external relay and wiring from the board.
I run accross a Fanuc drive amplifier problem few weeks back. We use a repair service now since our boss wipped out our inhouse repair facility. I had 4 units tagged "Repaired and Tested" all fail to work properly one by one. 3 of them failed to even boot up. Ive spent all shift swapping bad drive for bad drive. Kinda depressing if you ask me. I think the next shift got lucky with the final, fifth drive on the shelf.
McDonald did a great job repairing this amp but for too cheep of a cost in my opinion. Outside repair service charges a lot because they replace the contactor, bridge rectifier, and output transistor every time even if they test good. A cleaned up contactor will work for about 1/2 the life time of a new contactor. So the question really becomes repair cost vs down time changing out an amplifier. No disrespect intended. Repairing an amplifier in house means no huge pile of replacement parts on hand and you want to keep the cost down.
Your a bad ass. I wish I had a service guy like you near me .I'm about to pay 3k for what you just did. I feel better knowing there is a guy state side who can do it.
Dear Mr.McDonald, I would like to ask you how to repair the problem of Funac amplifier (A06B-6089-H104). It is presumed that these days, the weather is getting cold, which is caused by the deterioration of the characteristics of the components inside the amplifier. When the main power is turned on initially, the error code "414" servo alarm is displayed on the computer monitor and "8" is displayed on the amplifier. At this time, if heat is applied to the hot air near the amplifier, change the "8" => "5" => "2" to the amplifier for normal operation. Please let me know how to fix this problem. I appreciated it for your kind attention on this matter. Thank you so much. David Choi.
Hello Mr. Choi. I hope you and your family are doing well. I used to live at Kunsan and Suwon when I was in the USAF. I will always have a fond place in my heart for the Korean People. Hear is a link to the PDF manual for your drive. fanuc.pennineuk.com/library/pdf/a06b6089.pdf Check out the section on "LED indications and meanings"
I have repaired this fault by removing and replacing the electrolytic capacitors on the power board. And while I have the drive disassembled I clean the contacts of the contactor as you viewed in this video. Removing and replacing the electrolytic capacitors is tedious work. I don't replace the large DC Bus Capacitors. Unless I see signs of leakage on their bottoms. Electrolytic capacitors are easily the weakest link in any electronic device.
Dear Mr. McDonald, I wold like to ask you how to fix the fanuc amplifier problem. (A06B-6164-H311 # 580 - amplifier all in one). Weather getting cold. This is due to the loss of the internal components of the amplifier. Everything is fine when the main power is turned on. However, when the z1 axis moves, the "SV0410 Z1 excess eror (stop) and SV0411 Z1 excess error (moving)" error code of the servo alarm is displayed. There are two cards in the amplifier. The top board was tested is working. Problem is power bottom board. Please let me know how to fix this problem.I am lokking forward to your answer.
Hello. I have a A06B-6059-H206#H511 Given me the 401 Servo Alarm (VRDY OFF)... unit is on a Kitamura Mycenter 1, I watch both videos in reference to the VRDY OFF... will see if the issue is related to that...
I am always happy to see other folks that are troubleshooting and repairing their electronic devices. Thank you very much. I hope my video has helped you.
Thanks. You seem to have alot of videos, so i thought you must be busy. I really enjoy watching your videos. I appreciate the effort you put in to putting them up. I always learn something watching them. Thanks. Hope you are doing well. 😀
Hi. I have error code 3 ( low dc voltage) i have troubleshoot everything it says in the manual. Even replaced the amplifier with a new one but the error code still exist. Any idea whats causing the alarm?
Hi there....I have problems with my lathe control fanuc 21-t I would like to know if you can give me some advice because in my small country there is no fanuc technician specialist.... thank you very much!!!!!! data: sometimes when you leave the lathe on with this error when you turn it off and on the error disappears but then when you turn it on in automatic mode it works for a few minutes and stops showing the error again.... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Alarm code: 1 in servo aplifier fanuc A06B-6079 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In the panel control lathe : 414 servo alarm : x axis detec err 414 servo alarm : axis detec err Any advice on what it could be?
hello, i have a20b-1000-069, when i turn up for a short time the alarm 12, can you tell me the case about this error, wish you and your family always happy. thank you
Hello, thank you for stopping by and watching my video. I have tried finding a new relay, but with no luck. If you know of a good source for this part please let us know. That sure would make life just a bit easier. HaHa. Thanks again.
@@PeepawMcDonald i've replace relays on boards, just not fanuc boards. i didn't think about finding the correct relay would be that hard, maybe it is. still, nice video. ps. usually are local electronics store can find what we need.
