an example of the oaxiltso fight on hardmode in veteran rockgrove. unorganized tips below on how i would change some things on the nb since this video is old.

tips-
i have since swapped out power extraction for mass hysteria bc its better [major cowardice vs. minor cowardice] and it helps keep my mag lower. at the time, frogs cc'd was a concern so i did not bother to run mass hysteria at first.
i would not run mirage anymore. i just used it at the time bc i wanted to utilize more of the pressure points passive [assassination skill line]. this was also before arcanists were a thing [minor evasion] so yeah. if i wanted to play it safe and utilize a shield id go with bone shield since nb's dont have any better alternative that is class specific [multipurpose skill imo esp for this fight with meteors, poison, etc]. it provides a synergy and shield for group, can proc major vitality, and also gives a shield for yourself when kiting poison in execute. especially nice if exe is long.
if you dont want to run a shield you can run circle of protection [minor protection aka dmg mit for the group]. downside is it wont benefit you in exe in terms of having something to help you kite poison aka a shield. if you are comfortable without a shield you can do this bc its nice to run for the fighters guild passives. i normally stray away from this skill bc i hate how clunky it is XD i wish i ran it more.
if those options dont work for you, then id default to running an extra hot [vigor, radiating regen, orb]. when in doubt just add a hot if all your other buffs, passives and responsibilities are already covered or being utilized.
i would definitely run vigor [priority skill imo, sticky hot which is not only beneficial for the group but also to you when kiting poison in exe. costs stam instead of mag which can be a bonus if having mag sustain issues and is also a heal that counts towards pearls procs]. i didnt run it bc i wanted my mag to be lower than what it was [for pearls] and i was using quite a bit of stam already. because my setup in this video was not meant to be heal intensive, i chose to take that L.
if poison is really hurting you, slot the blue cp enduring resolve [less dot dmg]. it works good on bahsei too.
alsooo chaining is not necessary so you can replace silver leash with another hot.

overview-
i would put silver leash on my resto bar to utilize the fighters guild passives but i hate how the resto light attack into using the skill feels so i just use it on my destro bar.
i wasn't the main or only person chaining [ot was] so normally i would just pull frogs in when i could so they would either a) die within seconds from flames of oblivion [from all our dk dps in group] or b) the ot could chain them after i did, and pull them right into group from where he was standing if any lingered too long and didnt die.
i did not want to spend more time than i had to trying to perfectly chain them bc a lot of times i had an issue just getting my chain to work [skill issue] and i didnt want to spend multiple global cooldowns trying to chain one frog in when i had better things to be doing.
basically if i could pull some closer to group, that was cool. if not, also cool.
playing with messed up hands/wrists wasnt fun so i was more concerned about getting through the run instead of properly managing my pearls uptime and pillager procs.
most importantly, im still really proud of the team.

any questions feel free to ask me. this fight can be daunting and in this video i played kinda risky but our execute was fast enough to where i could get away with it. however, just because i could doesn't mean i always will take this approach or would i also recommend doing this for every team. i do not use the exact same build/setup every time i do the same content, i adjust things as needed per run/team. im still happy to give advice and feedback from what i have learned doing this on multiple different classes on different teams.
