There are technically two moons in adventure. The full moon Kirby fights Nightmare on and the smiling, crescent one in the background of the Meta Knight Fight There’s also the one in Sectonia’s fight that isn’t blown up. So maybe there are three
He’s never had a consistent theme song. The closest we had for a while was the Halberd fight, but then Star Allies introduced a new one. Then they heavily remixed/reimagined it in Forgotten Land.
I died twice to this boss and on my last life I finally figured out the boss pattern and managed to defeat it, this boss was the most crazy showdown ever.

We see a new artifact almost every game it’s not really new. A magic Rod that creates dreams, a magic rainbow sword, a planet sized clockwork comet that grant wishes, a wand created by friendship, a crystal gun that shoots tiny shards, a magic mirror that leads to another dimension, a sentient paintbrush that can cross dimensions, a wand with the power of 3 stars, two sentient quilt needles that can alter reality and create matter from nothing, a magic staff that can harm the most powerful being in the universe, a corrupted mind controlling crown that takes four people to control it, a time traveling space ship that can create wormholes to other dimensions, a magic seed that can plant a planet sized bean stalk that bears magic fruit, an AI Super Computer that can create wormholes, and grant wishes, two sentient gloves that can craft anything, a machine that can create identical clones, and a Crystal Heart containing a long dead deity. Two magic helmets is pretty standard at this point.
Dedede and Meta Knight have some of the most broken Bros Attacks I think I've ever seen The Mask of Dark Bonds that HAL just conjured out of nowhere specifically for this game is insane

For a spin off title, this is one of my favorite boss fights in the entire series. I really enjoyed seeing this teamwork dynamic between King Dedede and Meta Knight.
Their synergy is simply stunning. It’s one thing to be fighting Dedede and Meta Knight at the same time, but we were fighting them as a perfect team. I’m very, very impressed with the designers for this game.
@@IAteABox When I first played this I was expecting their Star Allies boss patterns just thrown together similar to the final Mage Sisters fight. I was pretty surprised to see the two of them had synergized attacks utilizing their respective abilities.

Some of the instruments used here sound similar to void termina's theme, normally I'd say it's a coincidence but this is the same series that made a boss out of a recurring butterfly...
Meta Knight is implied to be the same species as Kirby, and the only specimens we know to be Kirbs were either born from Void, are alternate versions of prexisting Kirbs, or were created from Kirby himself. Thus, Meta Knight could also be born from Void.
I’m amazed that they’re able to make a theme that’s been in nearly every Kirby game and still find a way to make it refreshing and enjoyable to listen to.
I love how on top of the main melody jumping between Revenge of Meta Knight themes and Dedede's themes, the background instrumentation is constantly tossing around riffs from any not currently playing. A constant clash that steels their bond in proving their growth to their former rival and current friend.
I'm surprised nobody in the comments is mentioning Nightmare. Of course, connections with Galacta Knight are easy to make, but the whole "Crescent Moon" thing is Nightmare's signature aesthetic; Parallel Nightmare even has a crescent moon amulet in Super Kirby Clash. Seeing as Nightmare was brought back in that game (even if it wasn't the original), HAL clearly hasn't forgotten about him. He also has connections to the Ancients, what with the Fountain of Dreams. Maybe the masks are associated with Nightmare in some way. Considering the dark aura they have, they may even be associated with the crown-mask-thing that Dark Mind and King D-Mind use, I dunno. Whatever they are, they're the only two masks that haven't been destroyed / blasted off in the entire series (assuming you don't count the Three Mage-Sisters' masks), which is undoubtedly the biggest plot twist in the entire series. Nevermind Magolor and Marx, the masks not breaking is the real surprise! Uh... what was my original point?... Oh, right, Nightmare. I think it's strange to have them be modeled after the crescent moon specifically, and *only* the crescent moon- waxing and waning. In some way, I feel like Nightmare has something to do with it, but there's not much evidence (there's not really any solid evidence, to be honest), but it's my hypothesis anyhow.
I think the Masks were actually used by the four heroes who sealed void termina. “But these are Dark masks” You may say. Well, If Galacta Knight is anything to go by, He was corrupted by the Jamba heart. So maybe that happened with the other heroes and their masks

SPOILERS FOR RETURN TO DREAM LAND DELUXE You will hear this song if you fight Galacta Knight as either Dedede or Meta Knight. Also, the second phase will be accompanied by his Robobot theme rather than his regular theme.
So interesting to note, these masks are preeeetty similar to Galacta Knight's powered-up mask from Super Kirby Clash. The "Mask of Dark Bonds" and whatever the mask Meta Knight uses is called seem to be imbued with some kind of dark power, but not only does it power up the duo and upgrade/change the appearance of their weapons, it makes them "lose sight of themselves". I'm not a fan of saying everything is Dark Matter since a lot of Kirby stuff uses that kind of stuff in general, but that sounds an AWFUL lot like, say, the Master Crown, which is basically guaranteed to be Void Termina's influence/remnants of its power(and therefore dark matter). Which is interesting since it then ties into not only Galacta Knight's similar-looking mask, but also Dark Mind/King D-Mind's similar mask with gold horns, and Void Termina's heart-shaped mask with the same. Long story short, I think that the Mask of Dark Bonds might be tied to one of the four heroes teased in Star Allies, which connects it to Galacta Knight, a character that got a lot of lore in the previous spin-off. I just hope we get to see the original user of the mask someday, it'd be cool to see someone of Galacta/Kirby/Zero/Void's species use a copy ability other than Sword
i mean considering these are the "moon warrior" masks and Galacta Knight's entire asthetic we might be seeing the 4 heroes have a space theme, Galacta is clearly stars and space itself, the moon warriors are just 2 phases of the moon and maybe the last hero is the sun?? these masks just bring a lot to the lore table
Well, the game only calls out Dedede's mask as the Mask of Dark Bonds, not Meta Knight's, so this could just be ONE hero's mask. I mean, there are multiple Master Crowns, after all, maybe something similar going on here. Maybe since Galacta Knight isn't related to the conventional, five-pointed stars we see in Kirby, it could be Galacta as space, this "moon knight", a sun-themed character and a more conventionally star-themed character.
AςeDaniaMMX welp judging by the fact they are different, I think the mask of dark bonds is a fake version, being the one with the white tasla, while the one with the red tasla is the true mask, which was corrupted by its magical dark duplicate, the mask of dark bonds, and as for the other star knight, I think they are in fact the knight of planets, who I think is called “Gaia knight”, besides it works and suns are stars... and plus notice that waning masked meta knight uses a spear, which galaxia mysteriously became.
Keep in mind that these spin offs are noncanon to the overall series. While I like everyone's thinking here, it would apply to some odd parallel universe that doesn't really exist, maybe some spin off game canon or something.

When I first heard this I was stunned. Meta Knight and Dedede's themes TOGETHER?! AND Masked Dedede and the Halberd theme?!?!?!? Holy hell this is the greatest Dedede/Meta Knight boss fight ever!!!!
King Dedede's Tridimensional Cannon from Planet Robobot's OST also does an incredible job at remixing those themes, and it even includes _My Friend and the Setting Sun_
I cheesed the crap out of this fight cause of how OP Magolor is... Yes, he’s still broken in this game (UPDATE: Went back and did it as Meta Knight and King Dedede as the partner. I now feel accomplished)
As someone who played Co-Op with my brother playing Magolor, I can confirm. He's even more busted if you have a rushdown partner to keep the enemies distracted.

@@Houndlock643 void was reborn, and he was never truly filled with negative or positive energy, only his creations, quote "he was born as a being with no sense of right or wrong" so in a way, he obviously has to do with this if his creations such as the dark matter had to do with this, but in a way, he has nothing to do with this
The fight was fairly simple, but this has to go down in history as one of the best final boss themes in the series. This whole game was a call back to Super Star Ultra. The amount of power and energy this theme has is almost unrivaled in the series. I can just see Kirby battling through the halberd or destroying masked dedede while I listen to it. I’m surprised it took this long to happen, but it’s great to see the boys team up. It really does feel like they added a new mode to Super Star Ultra, it would fit right in.
It also gives me vibes to the mini-mode _Revenge of the King_ which is itself inspired by Revenge of Meta Knight, just with King Dedede taking his place.

DeDeDe: Same here, _friend!_ Meta Knight: So, how about we... DeDeDe: CLOBBAH THAT KIRBEH! But honestly, the friendship made between these to is adorable. I hope this shows up in future games.
If Aeon Hero represents both time (aeon being a term for a billion years) & possibly stars (the shape on his mask, though this is just reaching tbh), & the masks of the Moon Warriors represent, well, the moon... I wonder if the other 4 Heroes of Yore follow a similar astronomy theming? I also wonder if the Moon Warrior masks are parts of a whole (like a Reshiram/Zekrom/Kyurem situation), or are just 2 separate but matching masks? (also credit to fluffysmolcloud, firubii, & Jediwilli for some of the theories explained here; we were wildin in Discord, & I merely piled our theories into this comment here, so thank them not me)
Titles aside, those masks seem to have something to do with the friend hearts/spears that sealed Void. Masks of forgotten heroes, maybe? Masks of enemies of the original four heroes that sealed Void? Masks that Hal designed just for the sake of giving their two masked characters crazy new designs? Could be any of them.
This is the track that I was looking forward to hearing as soon as the trailer showed King Dedede and Meta Knight fighting side by side. Let's see, I hear Meta Knight's battle theme on the Halberd, Meta Knights Revenge, King Dedede's Theme, and Masked Dedede. Did I miss anything? Also, I'm somewhat surprised that it took HAL this long to have Kirby's two rivals team up against him.
I have not gotten to this boss yet. I am here to mark my territory, so I may come back to listen to this glorious theme after I’ve beaten all 50 levels. Okay I beat them. I still feel horrible for beating them and for being over cautious with the fight, but goddamn it: those two certainly did their best. Though, a part of me wished that Dedede pulled out the Jet Hammer...
It's honestly amazing. Fighters 2 quickly became my second favorite Kirby Game, while Planet Robobot took a LONG while to be both my favorite Kirby game, and my favorite game of all time.
There's nothing more satisfying than when you get up to the end of Chapter 5 and you're at the final boss with only one life and you win... Now this happened to me, but only if we exclude the ''win'' part

Am i the only one who wish that they didn’t wear the masks? Dedede grabs a battle axe, like in his past fights, and Meta Knight is always a bit ashamed of his true appearance, often fleeing battle as soon as his mask breaks off. I think Meta Knight NOT caring about whether or not he has his mask on just makes things more tense, because he doesn't care about how cute he looks now, he's fully bent on revenge and isn't giving up that eadiy
I got a VERY strong Star Allies vibe from this... This track should’ve played for Meta and Dedede’s Morpho Knight boss theme instead of that funky (but still great) Nightmare remix!!
Holy shit, this mix between King Dedede & Meta Knight's theme is fucking SWEET! I'm also wondering if those masks were also part of the ancient heroes who sealed away Void Termina like Galacta Knight did. Galacta is an aeon warrior, and these moon helmets symbolize a time between waning & waxing moons, as if the battle with Void Termina was between the start of waning to the end of waxing. I'm no lore fanatic but this is a thought.

It's called VS. Star Dream. Mind in a PROGRAM is a fan name. Fan names are very common with final boss themes; Moonstuck Blossom (unfinal name used in official Miiverse posts prior the release of Kirby: Triple Deluxe's soundtrack, final official name: Fatal Blooms in Moonlight), Mind in a PROGRAM (official name: VS. Star Dream), Astral Birth Void (official name: Suite: The Star-Conquering Traveler Final Movement: Sparkling Star).
I didn't really notice the music due to my focus on the fight. But listening to it now I gotta say this is a godly theme!!! Also side note: I it just me or are they easier to deafeat, once they have the masks on?

I was like "oh yea, beat em finally" in the first one and went "you have to be kidding me" when DeDeDe pulled that Uno Reverse card. Then I got to this one and went "come on, just use the Tomato." Then Meta Knight's mask broke and I went "wait, the end? No, but, that seems end wo-" DeDeDe threw a mask at Meta Knight and I go "Oh no, I'm dead aren't I?"
@@ethnictendo Weird hilarious and infuriating part is I beat the second one on my first try. My helper was Meta Knight and I was paint Kirby. I plan on trying to get the highscore in each chapter playing as those two. So may take some time. But yea, the masks greatly outmatch the Maximato. However I think Meta Knight should be seen with that mask if he is ever a "true" boss again
