my settings.json sais 'workspace.json' is that the same thing? im also getting a code that sais folders, path, and settings. And im not sure where to paste the code because my auto correction is not working...?

Does anyone understand that the commands that are being given on the eslint official docs are not the same as what keeps being shown in tutorials like this??

I have a dream, that one day I will live in a nation where people will click the install button from extensions panel and have it work.

I just want vscode to lint my JavaScript without having to have every single JavaScript file open. I don't have npm. I don't use node. I don't want to have to learn how to get node.js and npm running on windows just so I can maybe still not solve the actual problem. This is why I hate doing anything in JavaScript anymore. Just everything about working with this language is 20 times more of a heartache than it should be. PHP linting works beautifully. It finds the definitions in my project without having to keep the file with the class or function I'm referencing open.
