Pak Budi was also correct that this song was so popular in Jakarta. Although I do not understand Tagalog but the tune, the melody, the music they played until now are acceptable to me and also at that time disco music was at the top position wherever in this world... so really music is universal, indeed...

@RingSight91 What a load of bullshit! Were you there? I was. The seventies was just like today, only a lot more peaceful and people were more disciplined. The youth were more adventurous, politically aware and going beyond norm. Everybody was doing their own thing and there was explosion of the arts and music. Nationalism was the thing and filipino stopped copying and singing western songs and made/wrote their own songs, most specially in tagalog. The VST and company broke up because disco went passe and the main guys of the group went on to more success. Don't start spinning your own narrative, it's erroneous.

Earlier today, I just bought two vinyl records of VST & Co. which includes this masterpiece, along with other great songs by the said band. Once I reached home, I hurriedly went to my room and put my records on the turntable. It was exceptional, considering the age of the vinyl records (originally pressed in 1978).
