Blending while blasting.. that's not something all sections can do. This one does it very well. Be it because they have less people? Either way, they do very well at it.
Sounded fine to me. Irks me a little to see people acting as if there's only one right way for a sousaphone to sound, as if there's only one way to play music.
What's with this idea that black people play Sousa/Tuba better? I'm white and first chair at my college, not to mention a Music performance/ education major. Not saying that white people can play better, just that it's irrelevant.
man i need to develop that uhop tone i have never heard a tuba SECTION sound like this... this like made me get up out my bed and have to take a listen to this like 3 more times... Who's up there talent wise together as a tuba section instead of just blowin the tuba... tuba is an instrument too it can be smooth and sound pretty i appreciate yall bringin this to my ears hope to see yall at honda again this for an 8th time.. -Tuskegee University Marching Crimson Pipers fall 2008 T-O-Phi "L.M.S"
Duh, that wasn't the point. I'm not saying I am some glorious gift from god. I'm saying there are black sousa players at my school who I am better than. Am I better than the players in this video? No, probably not. I never said they weren't good, or that I was better than any of them.. Just that ethnicity is irrelevant.
