I got so excited about this... but I realize that it seems like there's only a supercharger for the 3rd gen Skyactive, and I have the 2nd gen (2012 Mazda 3). Seems like I'm out of luck, DANG!!

at first i was very confused as why the baseline was only a 154whp when my 18 2.5 manual doesn't feel like its making only that. Then i saw the 5900ft of elevation compared to my areas 33ft lmao

WOW!! So cool o see this! Just adding an Axle back exhaust from Cork Sport can make a pretty big difference too I am sure!! The stock exhaust is so restrictive!! But that torque at the wheels is impressive for such a small car!! I am subbed and will for sure keep on this! I have a 2018 Mazda6 GT Reserve that I he started some simple bolt ons and missing the AWD that I had with my MS6 but still enjoying this car!!

Correction: an estimated 314 whp and 69% gain, after latest numbers (see discussion below). How much power does this supercharger add to Mazda's stock numbers of 186 hp? Adds 101 hp (an estimated 287 engine hp). How did I come up with that number? The baseline stock number posted in this video is 154 hp measured at the rear wheel, which is 0.828 of Mazda's claimed 186 hp measured at the crank. The best dyno measurement of the supercharged Mazda3 here is 235 hp, divided by 0.828 is 287 hp, measured at the crank (a calculated estimate).

not sure its worth it imo... i got myself a Mazda 3 2024 AWD Turbo and i get 250 whp stock with 320fp of torque. just invest in that and you get full warranty from Mazda. but its still awsome what you can get out of that Super charger... 👌

Watched your vids, thinking about getting this for my 21 Mazda CX-30, spice it up a notch. At the time the bank account didn't allow for getting the turbo version but now the car is paid off and the account is in a better place

this is so much better than the turbo mazda 3 from factory and cheaper, now I hope there an LSD kit available this will level up this platform to another level

This is awesome for those that don’t have a turbo model. A little more horsepower but the turbo still makes a lot more torque to the wheels. I wonder how this would affect the reliability of the car down the road. The good thing about this kit is where the power is held to top end where the turbo has plenty of Low and mid end power but tapers off on the top end. Either way I love my CX-30 Turbo plenty fast for what it is for a daily. I have a 500whp N54 if I want to go out for speed

Maybe I missed it, but is there a reason why they didn’t have the car run all four wheels on the dyno since it’s an AWD Mazda 3? I’m wondering how much cheaper the discount price is and what the full potential of this kit is. I think anything over 2500 is steep unless this kit can get you close to 300whp through all four wheels. Otherwise, it seems more cost effective just to buy the turbo model and put a tune on it; the transmission and diff on the turbo model is beefed up to handle the extra torque as well. Even if this kit was capable of around 300whp, I’d be worried about grenading the diff on an awd car. On a fwd car, it would just be a burnout fest without an lsd.

anyone know what the difference a skyactiv has compared to the previous engines comparing the 2.0ls together? i know it's more efficient and more power but is there anything else? like layout of the engines and the design of the engines

Check your belt tensioner and if there is black residue on it that is why your belt is slipping install a new oem one

I felt your excitement bro when you were at the dyno and saw those numbers. Keeping the VT supercharger on my radar.

How do you feel about the longevity of the engine/trans after installation and tune? Looking heavily in this and would like to see 300chp and 230-250whp but if it shortens the lifespan of a 300k engine/trans to only 120-150k I'm not so sure on "throwing out my factory warranty package" lol. Finding the sweet spot of reliable power to compete with say the type R, Veloster N or other hot hatches is what I'm after ('22 Mazda 3 hatch here).
