This is a review of the Vtoman Jump 1000 portable power unit, featuring 1408wh of LiFePo4 lithium power as well as it's extra battery with another 1548wh of power. The price is very reasonable for this much battery and the unit tests out well.

I just purchased a 600w Vtoman on Amazon for $214 with free shipping and tax. I live out of my Ford EcoSport and this will be my first power station. Newly retired at 66 and living solely on Social security, so I can't buy anything too expensive because I just don't have that kind of money. But I am so excited I bit the bullet and bought the 600 rather than some 300w unit. Thank you for this informative video. Very happy I chose Vtoman! Just ordered a 110w solar panel (not Vtoman, its a Dokio) and I hope I can charge the unit with this panel. They are saying to get prepared for something very bad happening (grid going down) so I want to be able to charge my unit by the sun if there isn't a power grid for weeks on end! God bless all!

I recently bought an Edostory NBoost 1500 power station with 1408Wh LiFePO4 battery, 1500W. The front panel looks the same as the VTOMAN except for the far left side which has an AC cord input for the built-in 1500W charger, 400W Anderson input, and a 5521 input. Below that is a 12V 25A RV port plus 2 5521 output ports. It also comes with the Intelligent Jumper Cable. I paid 38 cents/Wh.

I have a few vtoman power stations all with expansion batteries, they are such awesome value for money. Just be careful if you have a expansion battery make sure the main unit is turned on before you connect them together! Something they don't mention in the manual! You can damage the BMS if you don't!

A few comments: Here's my problem: Every time I see a review for a power station, it's better/cheaper than the last one. I keep wondering how long I should wait and when they'll bottom out and be as inexpensive as they're going to get. I think I'll wait a bit longer though, because I don't quite have the dollars yet. I keep finding higher priority things to spend money on! As for those stupid lights that are on all the power stations and even small batteries for charging phones: I wish they would either put the strobe light feature on a different switch or on a different light completely. You're right, no one needs it and would you remember that your power station had the feature? Everybody talks about needing a power station to run the refrigerator/freezer. That's not quite the problem that people thing it is. For one thing, they stay cold when closed, and they only need to run a few minutes out of an hour to stay cold. Another point is that, in cold country, there are several months out of the year when you can either bring snow IN (and put it in the fridge) or take the frozen food outside. We were without power for 26 hours in below zero cold and we didn't think til afterward that we could have put a pan of snow in the refrigerator to keep it cold. We're starting to show signs of spring here and we've still got a couple feet of snow on the ground. I saw a similar report on local TV news about someone complaining about losing food in the fridge and freezer--with snow outside. Shaking my head.
@gonagain
@gonagain Год назад
Hello Betsy, you're so right! I do my freezer cleanout in the middle of winter so that I can just take everything outside to stay frozen while I defrost and clean the freezer. You're also right about how the electronics world is changing from one day to the next.
@jesuschristisking2877
@jesuschristisking2877 11 месяцев назад
You make a good point about the snow Betsy. However in some parts of the UK it's cold but no snow in winter. So I would have to use my portable power. But agreed you can charge the fridge for or and hour or so to keep it cold etc.

Wow. The VTOMAN seems like a really solid unit especially at that price. It’s basically 50 cents/WH which is about the cheapest I’ve ever seen on a power station. If I had one, I think I’d make my jumper cables longer so I could set the unit on the ground.

So Bluetti's in the trailer and a battery bank in the Cabin and Bluetti's for back up just incase in the Cabin. I know in the house here that my power bill is around 100 a month with AC winter is higher with heat but about 50 KWH a day and it should be less in a Cabin because it will not be as big as this house and wont have a 3 ton AC unit. It's just me now and I get a long well with myself as I always have and I don't need a lot of power plus I'm a good cook and want to cook out side more often so an outside Kitchen is right up my alley and in winter all I eat is Chicken soup Chili and Hamburgers and Schnitzel.. so I can have my Chili and soup in the freezer ready. I use to make about 16 gallons of Chicken soup a year when everyone lived here but now 8 should do me just fine same with Chili..

The kilowatt meter read 108 watts. The 1000 read 320 watts. What's the deal with that. I tried several other appliances and the 1000 always read a higher watt output. I tried two different kilowatt meters and got the same result. I am puzzled. But I don't think the 1000s meter is reading correct.

Yes it's average but it's good. I've tested at least a dozen different power stations from different manufacturers and the best, in the AC side, was 83 percent. The least was at about 75 percent. What were talking about here is the power used to run the fan, the BMS and the inverter, plus how much power is purposely held back to protect the battery from being discharged too low. It doesn't mean much really and on the DC side you can usually get 97+ percent from any one of these power stations.
