Here's some basic info on the 19 basic space marine organs found in almost all firstborn marines (some chapters find that their gene seed stock may lack one or two organs): 1. Secondary Heart (backup for the first heart, also improves blood flow and allows for survivability in low oxygen environments) 2. Ossmodula (organ that mutates a space marine's bones as he grows, two years after this is implanted the marine's bones will have been larger and his ribcage would have fused into a solid bulletproof stack of bone plates) 3. Biscopea (small organ that releases hormones that rapidly grow the muscles) 4. Haemastamen (allows more oxygen to flow through the bloodstream by producing more haemoglobin) 5. Larraman's Organ (creates 'Larraman Cells' that instantly close up most wounds a space marine would receive) 6. Catalepsian Node (allows the space marine to operate without much sleep, allowing them to stay awake and battle ready for around 2 weeks straight at least. It does this by switching off areas of a marine's brain in sequence, allowing certain parts of the brain to rest while still being awake so as to remain aware of the surroundings) 7. Preomnor (a "pre-stomach" that can neutralize poisons and harmful materials from whatever a space marine eats before it begins actual digestion) 8. Omophagea (allows a marine to "read" the genetic material of any living being consumed by the marine like blood, etc. This then translates within the marine as either instincts or full on memories, allowing them to literally gain information by eating the dead) 9. Multi-lung (a third lung that can filter toxic gasses and help breathe in low oxygen environments. also lets them breathe underwater.) 10. Occulobe (enhances the marine's eyes, giving them more acute vision and can allow them to see in areas with little to no light much like some animals) 11. Lyman's Ear (enhances the ear canals. marines can consciously filter out and enhance certain sounds, and it also makes them immune to being dizzy) 12. Sus-an Membrane (if a marine chooses to activate this consciously, or automatically if he receives extreme physical trauma, he will enter hibernation, able to keep the body preserved in suspended animation for years (the longest sleep recorded was 567 years by a Dark Angel) 13. Melanchromic Organ (controls melanin in the skin, for example in response to dangerous levels of radiation, the skin darkens to compensate. also makes their skin tough against most radiation) 14. Oolitic Kidney (works with the second heart to filter out poisons from the bloodstream quickly, making the marine immune to most poisons. however using this organ circulates blood at an abnormal amount, rendering the marine unconscious for the duration) 15. Neuroglottis (enhances taste by such a high caliber that a marine can learn to differentiate many chemicals by taste alone and can even allow them to locate things by taste like a snake) 16. Mucranoid (allows the marine to secrete a substance from his skin that is highly heat and cold-resistant and if coated around the whole body can even allow slight protection from the vacuum of space) 17. Betcher's Gland (allows the marine to spit corrosive poison that has been known to burn through strong metals after enough time) 18. Progenoids (serves no function other than to store genetic material from all the other implants in order to make sure these organs can be reproduced in the future) 19. Black Carapace (sheets of film-like material that are put under the skin and connected on the outside with ports that link into the marine's power armor, allowing the marine to move like his armor was just another layer of skin. without it, many of the armor's system and mechanical functions won't work)

That's insane how many extra organs a Space Marine has. Makes sense though since they are super human and much larger.
@Brutalyte616
@Brutalyte616 7 месяцев назад
@@TheLegitWeebsFun Fact: Several of those implants don't work anymore due to genetic degradation and mutations. Case in point? The Betcher's Gland has almost completely died out and is rarely referenced in the lore, with most of the 1st Founding Chapters having totally lost access to it. In other cases, there's notable mutations, like the Melanchromic Organ and Occulobe in the Salamanders Legion reacting to the radiation of Vulkan's homeworld of Nocturne, causing their skin to turn unnaturally dark and their eyes to turn red; a mutation that affected the entire Legion and has spread to all of their Successor Chapters, with a few possible exceptions for Salamanders who were created from Gene-seed stores that weren't exposed to Nocturne's radiation. On the flip-side, the Raven Guard and Night Lords have a defect that causes the Melanchromic Organ to not work at all, making them all deathly pale, although in the case of the Night Lords their recruits already had certain mutations from generations in low-light environments like Konrad's homeworld of Nostramo, which was a Night World bathed in perpetual darkness. As an example, albinism and similar conditions were extremely common on Nostramo, and the lack of light eventually caused irises to be bred out of the population, leaving only the pupil and sclera.

@@Brutalyte616One of my favorite mutations is that of the Black Dragons, a (most likely) Salamanders successor: Their Ossmodula has caused large spurs of bone to grow from their wrists and (sometimes) foreheads. The wrist ones can retract, and many BDs coat their spurs in adamantium to cosplay as Wolverine.
@Brutalyte616
@Brutalyte616 3 месяца назад
@@Myomer104 The Black Dragons probably aren't Salamanders because they don't treat civilians all that well and the Salamanders both reject and deny that the Black Dragons are one of their Successor Chapters.

Don’t forget the Space Wolves-exclusive *Canis Helix* (*basically Organ 0*) and extra 3 Primaris organs implanted alongside the 3rd organ, the Biscopea: the *Sinew Coils/Steel Within* (*cybernetic tendons and ligaments*), the *Magnificat/Amplifier* (*thumbnail-sized lobe in the brain’s cortex, which secretes hormones for increased body growth and enhancing the functions of the other organs, especially the Biscopea/Forge of Strength/Warrior’s Vigour and Ossmodula/Ironheart; it’s also a diet version of the Immortis Gland/God-Maker that the Primarchs have*), and the *Belisarian Furnace/Revitaliser* (*normally dormant organ connecting the 2 hearts, only to activate during times of extreme stress to kickstart what can only be described as biologically-produced healing factor juices and painkillers on steroids, after that it goes dormant again to recharge for whenever it’s needed again*).

interestingly enough the multiplayer community for this game lasted a pretty long time and there was even a Modded and revamped MP overhaul called Space Marine Augmented which added a ton of new features and cosmetics while also acting as a new match making system that was released only a few years back

A mod i will recommend for once you've played dawn of war is something called Ultimate Apocalypse which basically adds a bunch of stuff like titans and overall allows massive battles for Dawn of War Soulstorm

Mandaloregaming did a review on this game too. He goes into the technology of how it runs and deeper play issues. Definite recommend.

"I've died to these guys quite a few times." Me too brother. Me too. I can't even tell you how many times I've been fighting and noticed a squigg six inches from my butt cheeks that's three seconds into its one second fuse, and my only option was to make peace with my own failures. 😅😅

This game has been collecting dust in my steam library for a while. Really should just install it and give it a go at some point. Glad you enjoyed Badger's first foray into 40k games! If you haven't already, his vid on Space Hulk: Deathwing, "Heavy Flamer Heresy," is a fun one whether you want to give it a react or just check it out in your free time!

A third lung will help the body bind oxygen to the blood, allowing for more, and longer exertion before exhaustion

This is my one of my favorite games of all time, played it at least 10 times. You should check out some gameplay or analysis of the 2nd game if you wanna know how it’s going to be like.

Oh yeah, russian badger. He does a lot of good videos, he also doesn't hide that he likes getting paid to review videos either, but adds the caveat that unless he actually has fun playing a game he won't review it.
