OH MY! you're a savior, thanks! Never knew I could do the expressions within the same model and in the very program. Your effort on making the video is appreciated 👌🌻
Took a quick look at your channel and.. subscription button smashed! You've explained things I've been confused about, endless thanks Wish you a blessed and happy life
@@CutieDragon Debut is in one week! X3 I'm excited, but nervous at the same time! Despite the frustrations I had with rigging the model, I'd honestly do it again! Maybe make some simple animations with the program! Again, thank you so much for these videos!
@@BlightVonDrake have fun!! And I'm so glad you'd want to do it again, my goal is to help people enjoy Live2D as much as I do ^^ it means the world that you would enjoy it!
It's quite odd that I can't find a single information out there of how to toggle expressions while outside of VTubeStudio window. For example, I minimize VtubeStudio to make space for my obs and game window etc, and since that moment if I want to toggle expression, it's just impossible. Does that mean only when vtubestudio window is displayed that expression toggles work? funfact: It seems that toggles with vtuberstudio window minimized can work if obs is run on normal mode, but can't if obs is run on administrator mode, when admin mode is necessary for some games (eg Genshin) to show up on obs UPDATE: problem solved while i'm writing this. I found out that, all programs for streaming (game, obs, vtubestudio) need to run as admin, in this way, the game is displayed properly and you can also toggle expressions with vtubestudio minimized at background. Hope this can help some of you guys!
No worries, any question is perfectly good! It's not Body X actually - the body x is left/right movement of the body! For leaning forward there's actually a couple ways I've seen it be done! -Inverting body Y so the body appears to move forward when looking up -Rigging position Z specifically for the character to lean in towards and away from the camera The Body Y invert method is something I've been seeing a lot lately especially on twitter!
@@PizzarTou It's alright! What I was talking about was a new parameter you'd need to setup manually - Position Z, which is something VTubeStudio can track Position Z tracks how close you are to the camera - so it's optimal to rig leaning forward/backward on this! Body Z is for the leaning side to side
If I want to make a looping expression, how do I do that? This video was helpful for me, but I don't know how to do twinkles and flowery cheerful expressions like in Animal Crossing.
ahhh I love your tutorials they are so helpful! I was wondering if there is a way if you could cover multiple toggled animated expressions? I'm a bit stumped on how to do them since I can't toggle idle animations. >
it's a bit tricker to toggle more than one animation at once sadly without baking it in Live2D, but! there are some ways around it, what are you trying to pull off? An example I can think of the top of my head is my flight toggle which is actually an animated jump + idle animation change to flying motion (it's a lot easier to press both at a similar time using a streamdeck though!) it is possible to change the idle using the 'idle motion toggle' in VTS but it can be a little bit tricky to work out depending on what you're trying to do!
@Cutie Dragon mostly just trigger an emote animation and turning it off/on on the same button. But I ended up cheesing it by making a "back to defaut" animation file, by saving a json of an animation with nothing in the frames. Set it as a different button, and I can change back and forth with multiple emotes. Seems to work o:
@@nhknyan7610 I think the best thing to do would be to contact DenchiSoft themselves! (the dev of VTubeStudio) They have a few ways to get some help with the program on their website: denchisoft.com/ (click the help on the menu and they have twitter/discord/email!) it seems like quite a unique issue that might be program specific, so they may have better chances to help you out!
double check your part list that it isn't hidden by accident (done that before several times ;w;), another thing to check is any deformers above the artmesh if there's any opacity changes that might be interfering with it
Thank you, this was helpful!! do you know how to turn off glasses? Or take off and turn on hoodie? I've been searching for the tutorial but no one did it or maybe I just couldn't find them😰
In order to remove parts like that you'd need to setup a parameter toggle for them, the most basic is a simple opacity toggle (min 0, default 0, max 1) simply set the opacity of the part you want to remove to 0 at 0 and 100 at 1
Heya! great tutorial, though I had run into abit of an issue, even when I've checked the defrmer hierarchy and opacity but the expression stickers still dont appear when I raise the value in vtuber studio, any tips?
I'm exporting my animations they have '.motion3.json' in the file name but when i export them they only have '.motion3' and vtube studio can't see any of my animation files
@@CutieDragonI was doing the wrong thing for expressions. I didn't know they were a separate thing. I found out I needed to open up 'cubism' and creat the .exp3 files that way. Also vtube studio has that function also. Thank you for replying
