One trick for eye fatigue or a case of the flash , slice a potato into two 1/2 inch thick discs, lay your head back place them over your eyes then put a damp wash cloth over the top to add moisture , it'll cool your eyes and draw the heat out of them , it won't totally alleviate the irritation but it'll make your eyes feel much better.
I bought mine a few days ago to replace a Yeswelder. I did the same thing at first and had it on grind instead of weld 😂. I was thinking “wow! This thing is amazingly clear!!” Then I thought, man that arc looks really blue…… shit! Lol I got it figured out though. The headgear on it is fantastic and it is crystal clear in passive mode even in bad light. I can’t see spending an extra $100 for a Miller or Lincoln and it being any better. Great review!
I have been using one for 3 years and I love it, the screen is super clear when welding but I am annoyed by the grind setting. They came out with a new one where that is fixed and they put it on the outside, the new one also has a larger viewing area, I just hope the battery location is different because that's my main issue with the hood, if you sweat a lot it can get in there and mess It up
Ive got mine going 3yrs no complains its just a slight different from the lincoln helmit I use mine all day every day I love it for the price the job itdoes
@@MatHelm I was looking at the 13" screen version, it was $199 & on sale for $169.99 This version was sold out when I went so I didn't see it, but yeah its the same price here for the 10" screen.
Good review. So do you wear a respirator under you hood? I use a Miller LPR 100, which worked great under HF’s cheap hood, but absolutely will not fit under the Vulcan. Is that just the way it is, or am I doing something wrong. Thanks!
Starting on my welding journey, I bought the Harbor Freight $80 helmet. Beginning/weekend warrior welders really can't afford to spend extra for high end equipment(thanks Joe Biden).
