I’ve watched this full concert so many times. I can’t believe how much they blew up. I first saw Vulfpeck in a small club in Philly like 5 years ago for a cover charge of like $15. Now they can sell out friggen MSG. They absolute deserve it and I hope they continue to be successful and bring us that Funk for decades to come. Also, check out their spinoff project The Fearless Flyers with Joe Dart, Corey Wong, Mark Lettieri (guitarist from Snarky Puppy), and the one and on Nate Smith who kills it on the drums. Sometimes his whole kit is just a kick, high-hat, and snare and he STILL blows your mind with his insane funky ass drumming.
The most impressive thing is that Vulf is their own thing - they sold that sucker out through a fanbase they built themselves, with no huge record label or advertising campaign behind them other than their own direct communications with the fans.
MSG holds around twenty thousand people. I've seen phish and the dead there. I've seen the whole crowd sing along. The band never needed to prime the audience. Just saying.
