And, playing at Tipitina's, which is home of one of my other favorite bands, "Galactic". Being that Stanton Moore is the drummer with Galactic, and I am a drummer who is studying his playing, I think the Algorithm is slacking off.

Great job on the legendary Jay Graydon guitar solo at 1:45. Becker & Fagen gave every session player in the tri-state area (including Becker himself) a shot at that solo and rejected them all before they brought in Graydon.
andyinoregon it was really well done, Graydon bends all those licks in the beginning, getting a lap steel sound, that’s the one thing most get wrong on that solo, Cory slides here as well but it’s ridiculously difficult to pull off those bends in tune like Graydon. Kudos Cory
declan embury me too only cause it’s nearly impossible to play the way Graydon actually does. Look up Jay Graydon Tim Pierce and he sits down and breaks down the solo in real time, really something to behold
As this looks to be at Tip’s in NOLA, pretty sure that’s Eric “Benny” Bloom from Lettuce. Go listen to him play in that band then come back here and say he’s useless. I dare you.
