As both a honing device and a sharpener, it has a lot more methods of usage than shown in video. I do not know how much the given instructions offered you, but it would have been nice to see the proper sharpening, polishing and honing techniques of the product.
It is basically a tool for those who do not know how to sharpen. It does wear out. The Chefs prefer to use Japanes whetstones fro our best knives. Watch the other videos.
