Hi thanks for uploading this video. I have had same issue on my Passat B6, replaced the door wires but the airbag light is now on and it says on my code reader 01221 Crash Sensor Side Airbag Driver side (G179) Short with ground. I didn’t work on crush sensor nor did I dismantle it, I only replace the wires and soldered them back. I didn’t t work on airbags nor connector under seat either. Do you know what it might be from your experience. Thanks
@@scottjames5413 yes, wires have been accidentally touching each other, hence the fault in the code. I dismantle the whole wire loom at the door and fixed those wires and connected them each other. Now it’s fine, it was just the wire, crash sensor is ok, other wires too.
@@scottjames5413 no problem, it wasn’t really difficult to find the fault, it was just difficult to work on such narrows and small-sized space area, but I have got eventually there. My wires had been in poor condition but maybe two therefore, I had to replace them all, but must have accidentally connected wrong wire. Upon having checked it properly it was fixed. I hope you have no issues.
Same problem with my golf 4 variant 2001, but the passanger side so in the right door i guess ? Ive ordered a new control module for it but this might solve it ?
