Love the vw, I'm working on my 62s horn now, thought I'd come here and see what was going on year before. I'm close to getting it. The reproduction steering wheels and horn components seem to be the faulty issue right now, I am trying to do it so I don't have to spend more new in VW fashion. Thanks!

The best part is I had everything and it works now perfectly the nails were exactly the prefect length. my pins were trash by the time I removed them. The brass nails were the ones that come in the kit for holding down copper pipes. Dont know the size.

I watched both of your videos regarding the 60-61 vw bug horn system. I' understand that I don't need the ground long wire that runs through the steering tube for my 1961 bug. But my question to you is, are you saying that the 60-61 bug needs the ground strap that runs from one side to the other side of the steering coupler? Because my 61 bug doesn't have that strap and not sure if I need to install one.
