You get an A+ for trying and being so descriptive. I would let the metal cool though and maybe employ weld- thru coating to prevent rust, 3M has a good video on here.
I’m restoring a bus exactly like yours, even the same color. You need to use the solder method for all those small holes. I’ve done hoses big is a quarter inch with the solder method so incredibly easy and no welding
@@FixItScotty Here is the link to the solder method. I have since purchased the kit that Eastwood sells which has tinning paste and a larger solder stick. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-c9KcE5yjypM.html Also heres a link to our first video on the project ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-RMUw10tau9Q.html
Hi Scotty, I have a similar project at home and collect methods to repair the tiny punch holes and other well known rust issues. I have never seen your method using a copper bar. Could be an option for me too. Do you think about a conversion to an elecrical driven car? Sounds interesting since the old engines are not friendly to our environment. I subscribed to your channel and will look your other videos too. Thank you and Greetings from the baltic sea in Germany
