LoL Sorry for being a little Brain Dead, I've been struggling for the last 4 years and 7000' elevation had me melting fast. Any woot got any questions please ask.
My channel is all about the adventure in a 1950s VW Bus. Camping, Overlanding, Vintage Gear, and Campsite reviews to historical finds along the way.

Many creative and useful ideas to inspire additions to my 1961 (June 1960 build) double-door panel bus. Thanks for a great video. Suggestion: create a vent for your 12v Dometic fridge so it can dissipate heat, operate more efficiently and last longer, buy reducing the frequency of the compressor being activated.

I miss my buses! 😩 - 64 Standard Micro walkthrough: totaled while parked on Pennsylvania Ave. in La Crescenta. - 62 Panel that I bought off that guy on Foothill Blvd.

Thanks AsknD! I need to get the bus mechanically sound first, Transmission is stock. That will not take a trail bashing like Shasta. That group hauls ass! I've known most of the Ogs for thirty years. Peace and I'm glad you found my channel! - Larry

@@VintageOverlandAdventures Video has a nice flow and you covered it all, you're a natural at this. A legit overland rig! Sales flap functions well in this setup, would have not guessed it. But I like it a lot, good views and airflow. That's crazy, you said 12/58 build? Most likely are buses were built within a couple weeks of each other! Thanks for the tip on KM2 vs KM3.

I can't get enough of your bus! Great to see it still providing adventures! I have a few questions lol. 1.) Why do you keep the gas and oil in a cooler? (I ask because I don't know) 2.) There appears to be a fixture/valve(?) on the drivers rear brush guard. Can you tell us about that? 3.) Knowing not much about VW buses, are the skid plates underneath stock or did you add those (they look great, btw). 4.) What kind of gearing are you getting in first gear? 5.) do you ever carry spare parts? Thanks for taking the time to consider and answer my questions!

Hey! 1. Cooler - it's a great old vintage cooler box to hold and hide stuff in. So I really try to avoid anything new looking from showing. 2. Nitrous Valve - It's a GoPro camera mount, 3. Skid Plates - That is a stock thing, They came stock on sunroof buses and buses with cargo doors on both sides. 4. Gearing - I'm not sure, there is reduction boxes on the end of the axles to lower the gearing. (VW used the same reduction boxes on there Jeeps in WW2) 5. Spares - Fan belt & some ignition items. 6. When I found her abandoned in the woods, she still had the original pear wood paneling and Hehr aluminum frame tilt out windows, so she's a professionally done camper conversion I reckon. Maybe someday if I can figure out this video stuff I can do a walk-around of the HiBearN8R and share the joy. Or you can check out AkDude on theSamba ✌

Just love it ! Nothing fancy but everything you need and it all works and is very practical.. Enough said. As a versatile and all purpose overlander you can not easily beat a VW bus. Keep it coming, enjoy ad be safe. PS - your bus reminds me of another FB overlanding family 'Karstan and Maxine' in a similar bus doing Australia. Have a look !
