What a show!!! Especially like the Graphite Bug at 25:30. Exceptional Car!.. I had a 65 with the metal sunroof, a 67 in Robin's Egg blue, and a Lime green 62 Conv. It had a forest green top in mint condition. Thanks again Mike . You do great camera work on each car Much appreciated!
Hi Mike, I`m still wondering so many VW Beetles and busses driving still around in the USA 🇺🇸so well taken care of 👍🏻wow there had to be hundreds of VWs their great show did really enjoy that, thanks for sharing👍🏻🙏🏻🇳🇴🇳🇱☮🤗. Greetings Hubertus
Many lovely cars there Mike. You and I share the same taste; the green split, the lowlight Ghia, the early Notchback, the red Bus, the ivory oval, the razor Ghia. But I think the star of the show is your bucket truck. The Speedster tops came in low bow and high bow style. I still don’t get the fake patina cars and the narrow beams but hey….😂🤣
only patina I like is when its original like that europeon rag top 56 oval horizon blue never been painted and never had channels done. then its patina. some of this RUST or million layers of paint sanded through is not patina. it just looks weird. Cleared over. I was telling the guy with the horizon blue to use some TR3 to preserve it. That is REAL patina. the other stuff is rat patina which I dont care for.
@@vayabroder729 The whole Idea of patina is to show that it was in its present state for many years and still survives. If you need to peel back layers to get it that way it is missing the point. so many people are doing this though now. If it was house painted over and original underneath that is fine to remove the house paint. But if your car was painted like 10 times and you need to sand off layers and find some originality it is missing the value of the patina. Like CTs car is cool because it is original paint and rusted through and it looks cool. If he can preserve that and touch it up a bit to make it all look original that is OK. but guys sanding off all this stuff and stripping down trying to find original paint and it is all super ugly...They are missing the point IMO.
@@Mikefngarage Also, CT’s idea of keeping it original on the outside and rebuilding everything including the interior to new condition is also a cool contrast. Would be great if he redid the interior with a respray with the paint with the original L code and all.
@@Mikefngarage looks like you are doing the your of the car shows, first Pomona now Wolfsburg. Cool! I am going to a local VW show tomorrow at the kobey swap meet a two in one thing. Have a nice weekend. 👍
