@@billx4266 its the gen 4 not the gen 3, they actually have different pistons and different pleuels, also the piston steg break is eliminated on them. Just the good ol` oil pump who could die any minute ( if u dont change your oil regular)
MK8 has it problems but powertrain is a bliss. Iam running 8,49s 100/200 on 102 octane fuel. 100% street legal. MK8 Powertrain with MK7 interieur/infotainment wouldve been the ideal car for me 😄
MK8 powertrain is insane. Easily the best in any modern hot hatch and tons of potential. No other hot hatch offers that. Granted the interior etc is iffy but still..
@@blackwidow7804 Two very different cars. I30n also gives you back pain and awkward moments with passengers because of how ridiculously stiff it is. More fun to drive but there's a price to pay..
same on Brit motorways. Sat in the fast lane doing 50mph with the boomer driver of these garbage vehicles (it’s *always* boomers who drive them) tutting ‘70mph it’s not a target, just a limit’ as 100s of cars pile up behind them
Yup indeed and unlike Max I just can't stay kind with these kinda folks. Overtake on right then cut in in front and smash the brake pedal. They just have to be taught they are not alone on the highway and left lane purpose is to overtake, nothing more.
@@ThePirouliette he’s driving a lot of other people’s very expensive cars. you run the risk of Karen Boomerton in her Nissan CrapQai slamming into the back of them doing that
You can have a shortcut for the ESC in the top menu, that way you dont have to do the awkward menu path😁 put it in Special mode, swipe down on the menu, then have the startstop and esc buttons right there and you are good to go
Amazing. About to stage 1 my manual 23 so this came at a perfect time. Only thing I just still don't understand is this obession with pops. Sounds like an AK
Its a good car but I just can't stand the sound. All 4-cylinder hot hatches sound terrible and for that reason alone I'd have an RS3, R32 Golf or an M140I; those are real cars.
Yeah but they're more expensive to buy and maintain. I'd have a Porsche Turbo S if I could but here we are. They're all "real" cars. No need for chauvinism.
@@staszyslawUntil if pulls your pants down and leaves you wondering why your car isn’t keeping up. Then the jokes stops being funny. They are efficient, fast, practical, relatively cheap to maintain and easy to tune to ridiculous amounts of power for not much outlay. So they don’t sound great. Neither did Madonna but she’s a multi millionaire that sold tens of millions of albums.
@@MyRealName I get that. My priorities are different when buying a car so something like a Golf R or A45 wouldn’t appeal to me because I value sound and I don’t like the way those cars sound. I don’t hate 4 cylinder cars though if my comment came across that way. They are efficient, powerful, cheap to tax and buy and are just overall good cars. I just don’t think they sound good that’s all.
@@dacmm You don't think much clearly since the Mercedes A45 S has a stock engine nearly as much power than both even when tuned in the aforementioned vehicles. Saying that B58 is simply better. It's a proper engine. Nearly every road going two litre four cylinder isn't an engine, it's just an appliance like washing machine or fridge. The VW has some dull sounding overstressed thing and the BMW has a sonorous silky six cylinder
