On a VW Golf mk5 1.6 FSI you can just pull the plastic socket out with your hand. No need to twist em or anything just jiggle a little bit and it will came out...
And the owner's manual just says "remove the bulb holder", without any details... (with my left light on a 2.0 TDI, it seems like I'll need to remove the air filter to get my hand to fit...)
Did either of you guys manage to do it? Just tried tonight and couldn't get it to move at all. I can see inside the headlight the actual mirror moving I'm pulling so hard so I guess there is more to it than just pulling it out. My manual also says 'remove the bulb holder' doesn't explain how. also, my bulb holder doesn't look like his, mine is black like in this video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-AbCDrIgJxKo.html
I managed without taking bulb out used a pair of normal pliars made sure they were on the bulb holder and not the wires and simply pull out. No swisting needed it is simply a push pull fit.
I mean the video, too minutes to say what could be done in seconds and the camera work was so jittery, did it mention what bulb is needed, save a lot of searching.
