One way to avoid having to recode the new pump is to replace the pump with one that has a part number that exactly matches the old one, e.g. 6R0423156B. Both the digits and the alphabetical letters must match. The dashboard light will go out automatically after a few seconds if the system isn't leaking. I've just done this on a Volkswagen Fox.
All you need to do is change coding to column sensor g85 (for vehicles without connection to the rightmost connector with blind plug) default setting is with g250 connected to the 3rd connector) in OBD eleven chose steering assist > coding > chose setting x12xxx. In this section you can also chose amount of assist from sporty to handicap, type of steering rack and crash cutout yes or no (airbag signal)
Hi, the code 11250 is correct for the fault you have. Apparently it is only accepted through a snap on tablet. Don't quite know why but I had the same issue and none other than the snap on would input the code and then clear the fault from the system. Hope this helps. Andy.
