Thank you mate, I did make a video but I haven’t uploaded it for the side lights, I am planning on changing the fog lights yes, i’m just waiting for my order to arrive.
They do appear to work, but still unsure of the longevity. Also, as the reflectors are designed for halogens, are you sure oncoming drivers aren't being dazzled by the light?
These bulbs won’t fit in the main-beam (full-beam), you need a conventional H7 bulb for these, I just run a Phillips xenon gas filled halogen bulb (which is rubbish compared with the LED dipped beam installed).
hello i have a problem with my xenon lights they cut themselves when i drive it is very dangerous because when i drive and they cut off i see nothing for 2 to 3 seconds while i reset the stalk to zero and put it back do you know where it can come from thank you
Nice video! I am a tad lost with the bulbs tbh. I purchased a couple that were marketed as H7 replacements but they came with a power cable so I ended up installing them in my high beams (with great results I must say). The ones you show here come already socketed so you can plug them straight into the dipped beam slot. Is there a certain class/name for this type that comes with poles instead of a cable?
Yeah, the cable ones won’t work in your dipped beam, there are a couple of different brands that offer similar fitment to the G3s I have, they are still just called H7. Try searching G3 Brite mate.
Lovely looking car aswell. Another small mod I would maybe look into is getting the side strips colour coded . Makes a big difference to the overall aesthetic of the car
That’s a good idea 👍 I have bit of body repair I need to carry out on the bottom sills, so might get them painted too. Although I am considering wrapping the whole car too 😏
I bought a set online for my dip lights. They fitted perfectly in to the fitting (no wires), but when I turned them on, they didn't come on and I got the "check bulb" come up on the display. Is there something I am missing or what ?.... I removed the light assembly completely (which was easy enough) to clean the connections and the whole light itself.
Hello mate, I did experience this to on one of the bulbs, you need to make sure that it’s twisted around far enough to make a good connection with the cradle. If you do that, I can’t see why you would have a problem.
Thanks for the video Can I have a link to the website where you bought the lights? Did you also put the rubber cap on the lamps, or did you leave it without?
I bought the bulbs from eBay and if you search the brand that I showed in the video you’ll find them, The rubber cap on the back of the headlight was put back on easily.
Mega video! I have just purchased leds for my scirocco, can’t wait to install them, just to confirm you’ve fitted the dipped headlights yeah? So your main beam are still halogen? Just want to know so I know the correct main beam lights to get as well 🙂
I can confirm, no error lights with these bulbs. Since this video I’ve changing my headlights for FL headlights (vid coming soon) these bulbs don’t fit the FL headlights, I’m struggling to find bulbs with no errors, missing the G3 LEDs now.
I have changed them all now, but hadn’t at the time I made this vid. Vids for fogs and sides to drop soon. Exclusive: I’m changing the whole headlights to facelift ones too, new vid coming soon.
@carlubetv surely you have the name of them from the eBay listing. How are they getting on? Are they still working? Have they pitted the inside of the headlights?
Unfortunately without taking the headlight completely apart there’s no way to clean the inside. Also if your headlights are anything like mine you’ll notice that there’s lots of little hairline cracks on the inside of the lenses.
Do you know something mine were pretty bad when I got the car, I tried a home remedy that really did bring the shine back! Toothpaste and plenty of water, if you search RU-vid for light restoration using toothpaste, it’s probably when I watched.
you're impressed but others are not as you are blinding other road users. a reflector headlights should not go with led. Leds goes with projector headlights.
