@@AnnaOnRoads Good morning Anna. The Puma isn’t that great, I have no experience of the Kia. The Mazda would be my choice, very good car and reliable. Not sure if it has a spare wheel in the spare wheel place! 😂

As for the Taigo, well, it’s okay, not going to set the world on fire but a decent reliable run around car that will blend in and disappear in any car park!

A really nice and good looking crossover, but there is much competition in this category of cars and the final choice is surely difficult!! Thank you Anna for preparing and amazingly presenting one more wonderful review!!

I am a fan of coupe in any vehicle. I like the cabin very volkswagan. Would pick the T roc however, crossover market getting very crowded. Great work Anna.
Hi Andrew, the crossover market is getting very crowded but I also think it needs to. Crossovers are often a lot more appropriate than SUVs. Easier to park, easier to get in/out. I always recommend crossovers for ladies, older people and anyone who carries the elderly etc. Or simply anyone who values ease of use!
Another to review Anna! I must say like you it looks like we will need to get used to the touch controls for the climate control but hope the VW group listen to those of us that prefer physical knobs and buttons for this operation. The 1.5b petrol turbo unit is OK, I have this in my car but mine is a 4x4 7 speed DSG so would be a tad more thirsty and a tad slower to 60 mph with the extra weight. As you mention moving from a standing start can take about 0.5 seconds longer than you might expect to get a wriggle on but pop into sports mode prior to take off it's usually fine. One of those things we get used to. Style wise the Taigo looks modern and sporty but in a more grown up way than say the Polo. It also looks well nailed together from the review although from memory the materials could be better quality but I do like the colour coded dash inserts for this colour. The water bottle test is a great one and maybe you'd need an empty drive through cup to check if the centre holders will be adequate. As usual, close to broadcast quality production, presentation and production. Many thanks for sharing.
Hi Anna. Fantastic review and a great way to start the day watching you review. The VW Taigo is definitely a very very good looking Cross-over and a very interesting paint colour. The interior looks great very light and refreshing especially with the exterior paint colour being highlighted in the interior. Question I remember in an old video you started to tap at the sliders, can you work it that way and is it easier? like the old manual hand brake and having a spare tyre but I guess its a place saver tyre. One thing I think the Taigo should have a Panoramic sunroof but I guess that would eat into the head room. Not a bad price especially for a VW. Shame that you didn't launch it. Really like those stylish trousers braces. Seems like you are really busy with video and the Polska wersja video that came out last night which I'll watch in a sec. Brilliant video, great B rolls and great choice of music and love the bloopers. Keep it up Anna you are doing a great job. Well, all the best Anna. :-)
Thank you very much Jason ❤ I think tapping is probably more intuitive vs sliding left and right, which seems too flimsy. Not a badly priced car for what you're getting. Haha, no launch, I occasionally skip it when the road gets a little too busy
@@AnnaOnRoads Yeah would have thought a bit more intuitive than sliding left to right especially if the slider really fussy like you said. Well it sounds like you not on your own as I think every reviewer saying that it was a bad idea from VW. Ahh than makes sense. I love my Taigo R line❤ there’s a lot to love about the cheap configurations compared Tiguan. It’s simple on the inside and I love that. The sports mode on 1,5 liter is actually very good. I also think there’s decent space. The sunroof is awesome. It really drives well on the road with my summer tires and 18’ rims. I have 16’ winter rims, the summer ones are way more fun to drive in Downsides are, the interior is way to fragile. So fragile… it’s frustrating. Also I have some reliability concerns about the engine. However VW fixed it without any discussion and have been quality about that. The DSG 7 gearbox is fantastic, whether you drive eco, normal or sports.
Hi Gus, Lexus is a lot pricier and more premium. Personally, I would go for the Lexus, but Taigo is a lovely stylish proposition. With great driving dynamics.
Hi, thnx for the review. Technically it's great! Design wise internally and externally in Dutch we say "it's a missed chance". Even Hyundai and Kia look better, not to forget other German brands.
The Taigo is so and so. Not bad for an average car, but then again not very inspiring either. Better cars out there in its price range! Anna, I always sense you are among the best female car reviewers, and certainly also compared to most male car reviewers too, so it should be fun to see you drive fast around the Nurburgring track. What fast car would you prefer driving then?
It's weird that this car has the old VW infotainment and climate control system, which makes me wonder when the Taigo entered the production cycle, but the fact you don't have to rely on terrible touch interfaces and piano black touch-sensitive buttons makes it quite honestly a very enticing offer on its own.
Hi Alex, yes, VW production cycles seem to be all over the place. It's all a bit of a patchwork at the moment. I think they've realised people are not a fan of several elements so they've tried to pull some back, some they couldn't. It'll take a bit of time before all settles down.
