The 3 cylinder engine sounds beautifully. I have one naturally aspirated and it is a fun car. The GTI is definitely a "gearhead dream". VAG should offer it in Brazil.

I think it would have pulled better having changed up to 3rd gear rather than being sat between 5-6000 rpm in 2nd for long periods.

I have always had small cars. Cheaper to buy, cheaper to run, easier to clean and easier to park. I dont do many long journeys so I dont need a big motorway cruiser. Tend to use A and B roads to get to destinations, even a long way away as its more fun. I spent too many years on boring motorways in a Sprinter van ! Ive had an Abarth 595 and I regret selling it, so maybe something like this GTi or the Swift Sport would do nicely.

Can’t wait for my white with black roof gti to arrive ! If I’m lucky it will have been a 9 month wait which is a bit silly for a nippy city car . How longs the waiting list for a Veyron?

Salut. J'ai regardé certaines de tes vidéos et je ne comprends pas pourquoi tu fais ce mouvement vers le bas quand tu passes de la 2ème à la 3ème. ça ne sert à rien et ça use les synchros de la 4ème pour rien.

0-60 in 9 secs. This should never have been labelled GTI. Needed at least 130bhp to be relevant.

Michael Lee it is still slightly better than my Polo Match Edition 90PS TSI! I get 0-60 in about 10.5 seconds. My Polo does offer a good proposition for anyone looking for slightly bigger car.

Michael Lee with a stage 1 remap it's get between 130 and 140bhp.

Sly Dood the original Golf GTi, the car that created the GTi badge, also did 0-60 in around 9 seconds. Enough said!

@@hammerfanandy that was 40 yrs ago. It's like saying the original ford did 0-60 in 25 seconds. They very quickly increased performance to about 8 secs with the 16v. My point is......they have deliberately kept this cars performance away from the golf because it's cheap. Theyve made the polos performance close to the golf because the polo is getting more expensive at £22k. They could have easily made this car 130bhp. VW are rip off merchants and you're such fan boys that you can't even see it. The fiesta line 140 is miles quicker and has a better chassis for not much more.
