Watching The Compound episode 81, Jay Woods recommended Brian’s new book, and I read and loved it. I told my wife I was reading a “Textbook” on Technical Analysis but it was well written, relatable for anyone who actively trades, and easy to follow. I watch The Compound &Friends every week and was stoked to see Brian on as I had just finished the book. Thanks! You guys are the best.
This podcast rocked! I have always used VWAP in my daily trades, but for some reason, I never pulled back and used this tool for long swings. I have now applied a monthly VWAP to all of my longer holdings and have confirmed technically, this application works. I now see where I SHOULD have made entries, but didn't and now I am underwater. Thank you for this teaching. My new entries will be only made when confirmation of this VWAP strategy is applied since great trades are made on perfect entries, not exits.
I'm surprised JB & MB have not heard about TC2000 or VWAP. When you talk about moving averages there are only 3 that come to mind - simple, exponential and volume-weighted. Anchored VWAP is something that Brian specializes in interpreting. AlphaTrends is legit.
I love this show. My 2 cents: please let the guy talk. I am trying to learn something here. If this was a drinking game that required me to drink every time the guest was interrupted, I’d be dead.
I enjoy your show A great deal I don’t mean to be negative, but there are times when Michael can be annoying. He tends to interject his comments and speak too quickly. If he can learn to slow down his cadence slow down the way he talks. I think it would help a great deal. I really do enjoy your show and look forward to each week.
I will give another shout out to Public--I like buying T-bills on there, plus other investments. I would have never heard about it without listening to The Compound. True story.
This happens all the time. You get a great guest who’s in the middle of explaining something, gets interrupted by Micheal and we, the audience, rarely get to hear the guest finish there thought process.
Batnick’s favorite words: “Stop” “No” “No but wait” “Hold on” Likes to wave arms for control and touch people. Dude is a control freak. Very whiny. Un-smooth operator. Yells the punchline ruining the build up (ex: cutting Josh on M2 supply growing negatively which hasn’t happened since 1930’s). Incredibly rude (ex: I’m going to answer what I know on gaps before you (our legendary guest)). Wtf man 😒 someone shut this guy up. Does he remind Josh of the NYC trading floor? Is that why he keeps him around? Dude is the whole mosh pit in terms of volume and fast talking.
I enjoyed seeing the life of a day trader. I would have a nervous breakdown in less than thirty minutes. Loved Michael's enthusiasm, and Josh's witty zingers.

Kudos to Josh for bringing up contracting M2 supply. For now M2 velocity continues to rise, but should both metrics decline this will be one indication that a recession is imminent or already upon us.
Josh, if your at all interested in providing at quality product. Replace Batnuck, or at least make an effort to get him to stop hysterically interrupting.
The earnings updates while interrupting is brutal. Not the first time, why cut someone off to talk about a beat as it’s released? Has nothing to do with what the guest is saying and just blurts out earnings mid sentence.
@@shred337 I’m usually a huge fan of Michael but this was unbearable and I am a devote listener every single week of all there shows (Tuesday show, Animal spirits, and TCAF). This was bad. Someone has to talk to him
Every week Michael somehow manages to be more disrespectful and overwhelming. People come on here to listen to the guests, not to Michael. Let the guest do most of the talking and keep yourself as a conversation facilitator. It comes off as rude.
It’s unfortunate Batnick takes away from the show with his interruptions. Someone has to turn off his mic for like 10-15 min intervals after he interrupts twice. ADHD?

Interesting episode; I wonder if Zuckerberg used the VWAP strategy for dating after he created "Face Smash" at Harvard. If you're a buy and hold investor don't get lost in the technicals. Do your homework, have conviction and refrain from jumping off the roller coaster during a death drop. Long term, dollar cost averaging is an equally good strategy for success. This is the way...
Long term dollar cost averaging into total market ETFs or total market mutual funds is the way. Trying to do the same with individual stocks is a recipe for losing money.

Josh - Why even have Guests on your show when Michael won't let them talk and continually uses his computer to block the the screen. I really liked your guest, but your cohost is really, really irritating.
