Best new amp release of 2023. It made a seminal metal and rock amp even more versatile than it already was. As soon as I can justify the spend, this is going in the shopping basket.
@@kennethc2466 you are right, I am a bot, what was I thinking, commenting on this video, it is my opinion that the MT100 is a mediocre overpriced amp, make a video comparing the two, and prove me wrong… please…. (I hope you read this in a robot voice 🤖)
@@dividedbytimestudiosI'm sorry, your comment reeks of a shill bot, again...and I don't need to disprove anything to a bedroom dwelling 'studio' child, SIMP'n for an amp...on it's propaganda channel.
I'm impressed how bad the MT100 channel 2 sounded, too compressed and lifeless. Also, no midi or normal jack for channel switching... it's already dead.
Looks and sounds amazing! If I wasn’t already partial to my super kraken I’d be savin up for this! The balance thing is cool! I can see this being a great addition. I don’t have any trouble with my clean to crunch volume ratio with the super kraken but I did put a 12Ay7 in the V1 slot. I love my huge 100 watts too. Would be really cool to have this one set up with EL34s though. 😊
@@asianaxeman Haven’t tried it, 😑 been pretty curious to see what it would sound like having an American style gain 2 channel with the quintessential British Power Tubes. I really enjoyed the 6L6 so much that I just kept those stock. Used to have the JCM 2000 and loved the EL34s in that so I’d love to have a kraken with EL34 for variety!
Victory, and it's multiple owners, thanks you for your purchase...and the new owner of your ski thanks you for the deep discount you'll have to sell it for. All to fund another one, before the mkiii comes out.
Is the effects loop on the Kraken designed the same as the Duchess and the Jack (i.e master volume after the phase splitter)? So the overdrive channels sound terrible if using any level of reverb and/or delay in the effects loop
Yes you can, you would need two 16 ohm cabs, use both of the 8 Ohm sockets on the back. It is possible to use a pair of 8 Ohm cabinets with the VX but a special series lead needs to be used. Thanks Victory
Hey Craig, we could do something in a short format on this, are you asking about the logistics such as taking off the feet and then applying velco to the bottom? Thanks Victory
Interesting question! To the best of my knowledge, the Gain 1/Gain 2 sounds are very similar/the same, but the clean channel is different. I feel a test coming on…
Well, all those owners need cash. A lot of it, to make more overpriced amps and pedals. Meanwhile, there are 3 channel, 100watt heads for that money, built as well or better.
@@Kryptron5150 I, nor the machines making the amps, care about where where the machines are plugged in, SIMP. I care about quality to price ratio. Why did you purposely ignore that, to play the 'where are the ir holding stations, layout machines, brakes, and cnc plugged it' tripe? Oh, I know why, SIMP. It's the same reason you forgot to mention those Mexican made 3 channel amps, for FAR cheaper than that Victory. You know, the EVH amps, that are on FAR more stages than Victory, even excluding sponsorships. Please, tell me the place were 1out of 6 people play guitar, can't build quality guitars and amps. You'll look real 'sane' doing so.
@@Kryptron5150 I am curious too now. I paid 1659 euro for this amp it comes with 2 pedals that includes gain 1 and 2 switch, crunch (gain 1)/clean switch, a master 1 and 2 switch and a solo switch, these footswitches are not made of plastic it's actually high quality and the amp itself is amazing, I owned an Engl Ironball E606 special edition, but compared to this amp it's a joke, the FX loop is FAR better and the dirtyness and tightness of this amp out of the box is amazing.
