I first listened to this played on a pipe organ and fell in love with this piece of music. I then came across this performance. Played on the piano gives it a completely different, yet equally beautiful sound. I love this performance and greatly admire the skill of this talented musician.

I was thinking of doing a piano transcription like that. Almost exactly like the organ original but realizing the "gravement" tempo with the "Hohepunkt" (high point) being the 10 measure D pedal point before the vii07 of G happens and the return of the "free fantasy" fireworks, I was thinking of adding bass octaves to represent the bass organ pedals reinforced with both the Bourdon 16' and Principal 16' stops engaged, especially in the chorale section.
