Vyacheslav Nichik Hello friend,, I opened four shows in 1991 for Pantera at Joe's Garage in Fort Worth Texas with my first band High Risk. A few months later Pantera played the largest concert in world history in Moscow, Russia for over a million I knew Dime personally but I did not know him well. I first met Darrell in 1985 at the David Lee Roth concert in Dallas Texas.. We had some of the same friends. I could have got to know him well and jammed with him many times. I wanted jam with him but I thought he would always be here so I was not ina hurry. I thought he would always be around. I was wrong.. I regret we did not jam together and become good friends. We would be the same age if he was alive today. I did not know when I opened shows for Pantera they were about to become famous all over the world. The were the most popular metal band in Texas even in the 1980s. Then the tragic day came. In 2004 my friend who was close friend to Dime Ladd Hodgins called me. Ladd is a great heavy metal guitarist and songwriter and lives in same area. He told me that Dime was murdered by a psychopath. It was a very sad day. A few days later, Ladd and I went to Dime's memorial after his funeral in Arlington Texas. In attendance were guitar legends Zack Wylde and Eddie Van Halen . They were speaking from the stage about the respect and friendship they had with him. Nobody was playing music. Everyone there was very 😥 After his death the metal community was never the same. I and many around world will always miss him and his brother Vinnie. They were the strongest Metal band in all of Texas and always will be. I know Dime would have appreciated your tribute to him. Metal music and shred guitar are great things because music is the one international language that brings us together as brothers in friendship. Tommy Richey
